even if he still was ranked, his last two peformances were horrible, why would the number #1 p4p fighter face someone like that? why not the wbc champ berto (at that time), wba champ senchenko, or the undefeated jones. mosley sells good, great, but why take a fight with someone you know will most likely be in it for the paycheck (which turned out he was)?? i'm pretty sure any of those 3 guys would wanna put up a fight. plus, why did manny even go 12 rounds with him? he almost stopped him in the round that bayless ruled a knockdown for shane, why did people boo at the #3 and #1 welterweight fighters? because the fight wasn't worth a damn since the beginning man!!! lol....opinions though right?

i think he is capable of it. he rehydrates past 168 if i'm not mistaken. only thing i would rather have is for martinez to try and unify the middleweight division. that can get him more recognition, especially if he decides to fight once or twice at the opponent's native country (ppv buys and stuff). smw is busy with the super six and bute, so if martinez could get a shot against the top guys (bute or super six winner) i'd be all for it

horrible?........lol....he beat them in a in a oneside fashion....damn, if that is horrible to you then you must have higher standards that sergio can only dream of keeping.....lol...berto on paper is good but not that much given he's always had flawss wih his game...sergio on the other hand gets 2 wins and a win vs an unrakd mw and wants to be p4p king?........SHHHIIIITTTT, dream on underacheiver...lol

i'm talking about mosley's performances, not manny's. lol
only thing i'm saying is martinez is on his way to becoming p4p #1, putting on good performances and hopefully fighting ranked MWs. manny isn't fighting formidable opponents in shane and likely marquez. plus there's talks about judah or bradley, no way man, those would be hatton ko's over unimportant fighters. unless manny goes down to 140 to unify the division, that would mean khan would be screwed, lol.

well then , blame mosley......he aint in the p4p list for a whle now anyways....like i said, manny fighting shane ( weher you thinbk he old and shot) is still better than sergio beating an unrancked mw fighter.. so in order for sergio to have a case at being p4p king , he needs to take fights opposite to what he did in his last fiht which is fihgt atleast a ranked fighter.......

As long as Pacman is active, fighting old, shot, shopworn & apparently now blown up lightweights,Martinez has no chance. He'd have to go up in weight & fight the best fighters at 168 & 175 I guess, just like Pacman didn't fight the best fighters at welterweight.

For Martinez to be P4P No.1 he needs to fight someone other than Dzinziruk and Pavlik

A rubber match with Williams and a fight at 168 possibly. Forget about Pacman or Floyd, aint gna happen

Show a bit of consistency, and hang around long enough. If no challenges in own weight division step up and fight perhaps the winner of super 6, be it froch or ward.

He wouldnt be p4p no1 by beating pac at 154, because thats 2 divisions north of Pacs best weight.

Pac was no2 for ages behind Floyd, when he should have been no1.

Since Pacquiao is fighting Marquez, he just needs to fight a good opponent. Any good opponent vaults him to #1 for me. If Mayweather comes back and fights Ortiz, then he would have to do more, probably have to beat Mayweather.
