Ask Manny Pacquiao, who was given the #1 P4P spot after beating Oscar De La Hoya, a guy who was no where near the top 10 P4P list, or even a top 10 at WW.
I see not to take your opinion seriously when it comes to boxing.

Pacquaio was p4p number 2 for long time and it took floyd to retire for pacquaio get p4p number 1. This was before pacquaio fought oscar. Actually joe calzaghe fans were ready to celebrate when oscar vs pacquaio was announced because calzaghe was p4p number 2 at the time.

The only way martinez can get p4p number 1,
is pacquaio to lose after he beats marquez(if marquez beats pacquaio this november that IMO ring will give him p4p number over martinez)
    martinez beats pacquaio
    pacquaio retire right now
    pacquaio get killed
    Pacquaio found gilty of roids
Martinez move up in weight and destroy ward and froch in dominating fashion

If martinez stays at 160 or 154 without fighting pacquaio and pacquaio still beating fighters at dominating fashion then there is noway martinez will get p4p number 1. He need to move up and beat ward or wait for pacquao to lose after the marquez fight.

This is all true. Although, I'm not sure becoming a super middleweight champion will help though.

clean out 168, 175 and 200. Then he'd have a case, at least.
