B-Hop wins a legit title at 46 and fought all the toughest opposition in the weight he was in.

Pac won 8* titles by jumping up and down in weight for an attainable belt.

Pac is far more exciting but B-Hop is more accomplished.

What would be remembered more? Oldest champion so far ever or a fighter winning 8 belts in 8 divisions (4 major sactioning bodies)

Tarver (weight drain from the movie Rocky 5, where he played a heavyweight)
      Johnson
      Pavlik (one dimensional fighter)
      Tito (a welterweight)
      Pascal (who?)

Winky at the time was a full fledged middleweight who came up to 10 pounds to 170, Bernard came down 5 pounds from his last fight at 175. Yes weight was an advantage for B-Hop.This is B-Hop's best win over an equally smart and skilled boxer because Winky was at the time the #2 pound for pound fighter in the world/

Tarver was the best light heavyweight in the world who said a hundred times before the fight he was in great shape. Tarver was the big favorite and B-Hop won every single round

Pavlik was a big favorite over Bernard and like before B-Hop won every single round

Yes Tito was small and it probable wasn't a fair fight but Tito was undefeated and a top 3 pound for pound in the world and again B-Hop won every single round

Pascal was a Legit Light Heavyweight champion

we don't know yet. They still have so much to do that could influence it.

If Manny fights and beat an a-list fighter whos prime, like Floyd or sergio, he could cement an higher ATG status than bernard.

If Manny keeps fighting guys like over the hill jmm, zab judah etc while Bernard beats Bute, super6 winner, chad dawson etc then Bernard will for sure be higher.

Right now? Slight edge to bernard imo.

It's not even close - Pacquiao is a MUCH GREATER fighter.
Pac is a better FIGHTER, in that he throws punches, they land, his opponents cant take the pain, he wins type thing. BH has to do a lot of spoiling stuff and ugly stuff to get his wins, and he uses his experience that he has gained in all his years as a pro.

Pac will be remembered as the better fighter for sure. He has been no1 for how many years now, and when FLoyd was no1, he probably shouldnt have been and it should always have been Pac. So floyd stole those years really.

Hopkins, by way of quality of opposition

Quality of Opposition = Legit weight limits, Type of Opposition fought (technical boxers, BRawlers, Slick Fighters etc), Fighter Resumes, and Star power of Resume.

Funny enough, these same arguments could be done to "prove" David Haye is a greater fighter than either Klitschko. The arguments are kind of ridiculous.

If you want to prove Pacquiao is greater you should compare a-list victories and the status of the opponent at the time of the fight, amount of title defenses, feats that will go down in history etc.

B-Hop in my opinion is the greater fighter.Pacman is a great fighter & accomplished too.But Pacman's latest record & the Mosley fight have taken away from his greatness to me.

Pacman's record 8th title compared to B-hop's record oldest champion are as different as night & day.B-Hop beat a real champion who took the title from a real champion.Pacman beat a known cheat who couldn't get a liscense in half the country at a catchweight for a vacant strap. That is the 1st of many comparisons IMO that lies in B-Hop's favor.

While pacman has been favored in most of his biggest wins,B-Hop wasn't favored in his. That is also another huge, huge issue when deciding who's greater IMO.I mean if a man beats someone he's supposed to beat anyway, what's so great about that??But when a man is supposed to lose & destroys the favorite, that's greatness.

I think how superior you were in the fights on the whole, how you look when you actually fight and you have to bring excitement, or the performance gets you to remember it.

For that is has to be Pac. Its not really debateable, but as long as there are opinions it will be a debate going. Who was dominant, similar to Pac vs Margarito and against Clottey. Im afraid BH has never had performances like that where the opponent was actually a punch bag on legs.
Who will be remembered as the greater fighter SRR or BH. Some would say BH but they would be classeds as ******ed.

Pac will be remembered as the greater fighter, simply because of his fan base and crossover impact. Look at the Bruce Lee effect, you have people that swear up and down, to this day, that he was the greatest martial artist ever. How can you say that, when he never had a professional fight, no video footage of any fight, and nothing to go on but fan chatter passed on over time and Bruce's own self promotion. This is all because of the psycholgical impact Bruce had through his movies and image. This same sort of fanaticism follows Manny, and it will inflate his greatness over time.
