First off, "The Examiner" is not a reputable news outlet. When that **** appears on ESPN or the NY Times, I'll read it there.
Second, that quoted passage never addressed the point in contention which was the cut off date. The issue of the tests themselves has long been resolved. Its the cut off that Pacquiao has NEVER AGREED to.
Third, LISTEN TO THE FIRST 7 SECONDS OF THE FOLLOWING VIDEO:
That's Michael Koncz, Pacquiao's friend and advisor, admitting that everything BUT the cutoff date has been resolved. That's got to be a bit embarrassing for Arum and Pacquiao, don't ya think? That's rock solid evidence that Pacquiao is STILL asking for a cutoff date even though Arum has lied when stating that Pacquiao has agreed to everything.
Fourth, here's a little information for the 3rd world educated fans:
Here in the video you learn that fighters have asked other fighters in the past to take tests WAY BEFORE MAYWEATHER REQUESTED IT ... AND THE OPPONENTS WILLINGLY COMPLIED!! That's got to sting the filipino pride of Pacquiao and his pinoy *****s a bit, huh?
We also learn in the video that many boxers have admitted to using PED's and have never been caught by standard athletic commission tests. Hmm .. so Floyd isn't crazy for asking a guy who struggled against Marquez to test because he's pounding guys like Margarito and Mosley?
And when you factor in that 5 of Pacquiao's 8 division belts were vacant titles .. meaning that Pacquiao didn't fight a champion but another challenger to get a paper title .. it becomes more and more clear that Pacquiao isn't as dominant as reported in the media. It's hard to buy someone as champion if he never beat the guy who held it.
This is the guy who *******s compared to Ray Robinson, despite Manny not fighting anyone you've ever heard of until his 41st fight! So that means that out of Pacquiao's 58 fights, his first 35 were spent hiding out in Southeast Asia, and he didn't face a recognizable opponent until 6 fights after that! How in the **** is that greatness? I've heard of padding a record but that's insulating a fraud!
Pacquiao has had 17 fights since that 41st fight. Only 13 of the 17 were against notable competition, and many of them were for vacant titles and at catchweights!!! Again, where is the greatness in that???
