The outcome was frustratingly inconclusive. I wanted a KO, either way.

I'd rather see the guys fight again immediately, because a rematch could be irrelevant in 2 or 3 years.
It's irrelevant already in my eyes. He has no more to prove, he was the OVERWHELMING under-dog, yet won and it's now 2-0. People are still saying DeGale can beat him.

Example, Hopkins vs Pascal, it's one draw and one win in Hopkins favour, are people saying Pascal could still win and a rematch is needed? No.

Amateur or not, personally for them it's 2-0 to Groves, DeGale's ego can't handle that. But his fans will just have to.

    It's over.

Fair play to Groves, he still isn't going anywhere with his career im afraid his chin is terrible. If they fought again Degale would stop him within 6 rounds, he would be much more aggressive and take him out quickly everybody knows this, even george knows this....

That's what everybody said before this fight. It's 2-0. Game over.

          What?

Hopkins-Pascal II wasn't close, man. It was possibly a better performance for X than in the first fight, minus the knockdowns against him, which means he won clearly. He got a UD in Canada, that should say something by itself.

All the neutrals saw Groves-DeGale as a close fight. I could have had it for either guy if I nuanced my perspective slightly, or a straight up draw.

Close fights between fierce rivals demand rematches. Why, as a fan of Groves, wouldn't you want to see him assert his superiority over DeGale conclusively?

Let's face it, if Warren's as omnipotent as you've suggested he is, the rematch is on already.

In my eyes the way you score a fight is in the close rounds with not much actin you score it to the aggressor or the champion because the challenger has to do something to take the title away from the champion, Groves never had Degale hurt whatsoever, in 3 years time when Degale is world champion and your boy is stuck at european level are you still going to say that Groves is better than him. You honestly say that Groves is the better boxer and is going to go further in his career than Degale????

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Hop/Pascal was close, I was merely using it as an example that a 3rd match isn't needed, 2-0 (or 1 and a draw in that case) is 2-0, DeGale has had 2 chances to beat Groves and failed both. His problem, not Groves'.

                    Barrera-Morales, Pacquiao-Marquez, Norton-Ali, Ali-Frazier, Bowe-Holyfield.

These two aren't on that level, but they are fierce rivals who shared a close fight in full public view. The notion of a rematch is a long way from irrelevant at this point in time.

Tell groves to come and fight next time, If Degale did what Groves did in that fight he would have been booed loads, Us Degale fans aren't worried. Well done for George's biggest win of his career. He wants to fight Froch, is he serious???
