Is this proof that Calzaghe didn't beat an over the hill Hopkins?

Jermain Taylor close fight with Hopkins = rematch
Jean Pascal close fight with Hopkins = rematch
Joe Calzaghe close fight with Hopkins = fight shot to **** Roy then retire.

Calzaghe fought a past prime 43 year old Hopkins. No matter what any one says, Hopkins is past prime, he's just so good, that he can adapt to his age and fight in a style that is best suitable for him. The Hopkins of now fights a lot different than the Hopkins of 10-15 years ago. Slower hand speed, lower work rate, less stamina, slightly slower footspeed.

"I can't get my head around the fact that Calzaghe has won that fight. A very strange decision."
          BBC Sport's Ben Dirs

Some experts disagree with me but I think Hopkins has this. Like I said before, I hope I'm wrong.
          Alex Trickett BBC Sport

damn biased brits! how can they score it for hopkins? didn't they see how many punches calzaghe threw?

those guys actually did much better than calzaghe if you watch what actually happened in the fight instead of listening to the crowd. i'm not surprised calzaghe didn't want a rematch. he and his dad knew they lost the fight until the decision was read and they suddenly changed their attitude and body language.

Calzaghe has a good looking resume?????

Maybe if he fought Hopkins before the Jermain Taylor fights. Hopkins is doing something great, but make no mistake, he's not the fighter he was at 30 or even 35.

Meanwhile, Calzaghe is still retired...only 2 HOF fights right? Yep.

Joe won like DLH against pernell... or jermaine against BHOP...judges always go for aggressiveness, whether it's effective or not.hopkins is the better fighter.... and he deserves a Hall of fame spot. Joe is not HOF worthy.... BHOPs resume ****s all over joe's.

of course he was still past prime you ****** dumbass, he was over 40 years old. Hopkins beating a one dimensional flawed champion doesnt change that.

Yes, Hopkins was still a good fighter when Calzaghe fought him, but that doesnt change the very obvious fact that he was past prime.
