Bernard Hopkins is the reason why Joe Calzaghe is still retired. He know he owe Hopkins a rematch. Instead of coming back and face Hopkins again, he prefer to stay at home. We know why...

like I said in a different thread, calzaghe's performance was nothing to be really proud of. Sure he got the SD victory, but that's the worst he's ever looked in his career.

I had Hopkins winning by a point over Calzaghe. It was shameful how Calzaghe ducked the rematch to settle the score.

Each time RJJ gets KO'd and each time Kessler gets exposed, Calzaghe's legacy goes further into the toilet. This, coming from a Calzaghe fan.

So who looks good vs Bhop?

Even Jones didn't look that fantastic beating Hopkins

don't think it's a matter of Kessler getting exposed he just sat idol for to long after that fight

fought a couple of bums in europa and when he stepped back into real comp. he wasn't ready and not in his prime anymore but that was a solid win

jones didn't have the worst performance in his career against hopkins. He won, decisively.

all I'm saying is I don't see how this win for bernard increases joe's legacy. that doesn't make sense to me

It helps. Had he beat Hopkins and then Hopkins started losing all his fights everyone could just say that Hopkins was old and shot. As it is, Hopkins has gone on to do great things since that loss.
