If Calzaghe had Froch's warrior mentality of fighting anyone/anywhere, who knows what he could have achieved with his talent.

They fight and beat someone like an overrated Lacy, a shot Andre Ward, someone like Kessler, and some other old fighter. Then their fans go on about how they were ATG's because they defended the belt for 10 years and they didn't get enough credit etc.

But of course they didn't take that road, they took the tough road and fought tough fighters in their primes and lost.

That's how I view the whole Calzaghe situation. Guys like Ward, Kessler Abraham, etc. all fought against the best to try to become the best.
So you're rating Abraham/Taylor/Ward/Kessler higher than Calzaghe. How is Abraham or Taylor even close to the same class as Calzaghe. He beat Kessler and Ward is'nt on that level yet. Calzaghe vs Ward would've been good.

Actually, if you take out Bhop and Eunbank, Ward already has a career that matches Calzaghe's. Ward has been facing good opposition for a couple years now. His resume is pretty stacked now considering his performances.

what was so good about the eubank win? he wasn't a top fighter when he fought him. even before he lost to collins eubank looked terrible in a lot of his fights and should have lost a number of them. the guy was a british sven ottke. they let that guy hold on to his undefeated record for so long because of his ability to draw ratings. it's so funny because he should have lost his 5th pro fight against a journeyman.

he had a lot of fights against bums and a lot of controversial decisions but people pretend like he's an all time great because of the first benn and second watson fights which happened early in his career. he was an average fighter for most of his career but his personality and glossy undefeated record earned him fame.

LOL, I wouldn't go nearly that far.

But, yeah - that second Watson fight changed Chris. He was somewhat damaged goods after it.

Eubank was over the hill, but still a quality win. I rank Joes best wins, Hops, Eubank, Kessler, Lacy. Jones and the rest weren't all that impressive and especially since Reid almost beat him.
