At this point in time, Dawson is better than Hopkins, Pascal, and Cloud.

Pascal fight was a fluke (off night).

Pascal dominated Dawson (off night or not, he got whipped) , and Hopkins got knocked down twice and still took Pascal to a draw in his hometown, explain how is Dawson better than everybody at 175, makes no sense. i know u happy cuz u took a picture wit the guy but serious, Bhop is a living legend, dawson coudnt tie his shoes.

Very excited to see what he will look like under Emanuel Steward, Dawson has a ton of talent and skills but he gets a little lazy sometimes, Steward probably can help put that KILLER INSTICT in him, if he gets back to fighting like he did against Adamek...Dawson would be UNSTOPPABLE!


I don't know about Knocking Hopkins Out...BUT I do think Dawson will UD Hopkins or Pascal and get all of his Belts back... Of course IF he beats Diaconu

Never really understood a lot of the hate Dawson gets on these boards. Dude is nice in the ring and IMO the best light heavyweight out there. Glade Steward is in his corner. This is gonna be Chad's year.

If Steward can install that into him then he is going to be DIFFICULT TO BEAT, Dawson has the ability to be the most complete fighter in boxing today...but he has to let his hands go!

I can definitely justify why Dawson is currently the better fighter at 175. Quickly, he has better boxing ability, athletisism and speed on his side. Pascal, Cloud and Hopkins lack one at least one of those three. Granted he isn't the most exciting fighter on the block, but damn, the kid has great natural ability.

The Pascal fight was a fluke (it's my opinion) you don't have to get all hot and heavy about it, friend. I think you are absolutely correct in that Hopkins is a "living legend" and is a great fighter in his own right. But the Hopkins of today isn't messing with Dawson.

Prior to Pascal; Hopkins, Calzaghe and Jones (at the time were the division leaders) didn't want to fight Dawson because of the high risk (greater possibility of a loss) and little reward.
