Dawson's one of my favorite active boxers, but unless he starts roiding, I don't see that happening.

Dawson couldn't knock out Tarver and Johnson in 2 tries with each. Hopkins has a much tougher chin and better defense than them two. Maybe he knocks Hopkins out because Hopkins gets old over night. Dawson should stick to boxing, not trying to knock people out, he's really good at boxing. It seemed he was looking for one punch vs Pascal and it backfired, he had to really fight hard in the later rounds, which he did but too late.

Stick to boxing guys ears off, Chad.

I still laugh at the time he cursed out Lennox Lewis in the corner against Mike Tyson and yelling at Jermaine Taylor in a lackluster performance.I think he's going to bring that same killer instinct into the corner of Dawson. That's going to bring out a beast in him.
Taylor only had him in his corner for a few fights and then switched to a new trainer.

Dawson has the capabilities to pull it off, but I just don't see that kind of determination in the ring, so I doubt that happens.

i love how pascal was almost ko'd against dawson but yet ret@rds claim he owned dawson.

the fight needed a rematch if anything....

dawson is still the king at light heavyweight......

Cut Chad some slack, Kev... Tarver is a southpaw, who has a solid chin, toughness, heart, and defense. Glen Johnson is Glen Johnson.

I don't care how good you are, there are some people you won't KO due to ability and styles.

Diaconu is a strong fighter and will be tough to stop. Pascal's punches shook up or moved Hopkins and Dawson every time he landed and Diaconu didn't budge. If Dawson is going to stop him, he's going to have to take his stamina by going to the body and walk him down. If Dawson is coming forward late, Diaconu is getting stopped.

Dawson has enough power (especially in that right hook) to hurt any fight under 200 pounds, but he needs to learn how to set up his power shots better or wear down opponents to the body, so they aren't able to defend themselves in the late rounds.

The way B-Hop reacted to Pascal's clean punches throughout the first fight tells me that the impact of a quick, power shot that lands clean is effecting his equilibrium even when the shot doesn't hurt him. When someone is diagnosed with Khan-135 Syndrome, they need to have a flawless defense to protect it (which Hopkins has for long stretches of fights). Dawson with his ability can can exploit it or Hopkins vulnerability to pressure and activity, but Ex is not going without a fight.

Back up your word Chad but I still root for B-Hop (even if I dont like him at all).

Dawson don't have the killer instinct to KO Hopkins. He couldn't even get Pascal out of there. Dawson for some reason doesn't push the issue in the ring.
