So Pac vs JMM III is no weight issue @144lbs. I think during fight night we'll have somethin like Pac 148 vs JMM 145. Ki$$ my a$$ :****you:
    This is true....

FACT: The amount of muscle-mass and conditioning that you can take into a fight is SOLELY determined at the official weigh-in, rehydration weight is completely irrelevant and can even be detrimental.

If you really did not know that, then you are either.....
      * totally clueless, when it comes to boxing
      * totally dishonest, for using that excuse
      * totally ******, for not realising

You non-boxing fanboys are a joke.

Why dont you stick to something you are good at ?

You're a joke man, you think of boxing with one direction, it's all 'If you are these, you will be that', WTF is that?!! This is a diverse sports, with nothing is definite unless you do it in the ring... Marquez's biggest mistake with the Floyd fight, him coming from two divisions down is bulking up to 144lbs. at weigh in, and tried matching up Floyd meat for meat, but it only made Juan fat, slow and sluggish... But in the Katsidis fight, Juan went down again but rehydrated back to his healthy 144lbs. at FIGHT NIGHT, now he performed much much better.... Now with Manny, Marquez should just stick to his own weight and totally ignore the catchweight weigh in and rehydrate back up to his healthy 144lbs at FIGHT NIGHT...

No excuse Arum. Pac is being exposed daily as a cherry picker.
so if Manny fights any fighter other than Floyd..he's cherry picking....but Martinez going after a smaller fighter isn't considered cherry picking ? Floyd fights Shane and its a great match...Manny fights Shane and its cherry picking... so when Floyd fights fighters that aren't considered his level...its okay....if Manny fights fighters that are not his level..he's cherry picking....

how far does your hate for Manny go....its already at a pathetic point...lol

Thank god my guy is a legend who does not attempt to win on the scales and by manipulating advantages.

Thank god my guy does not make a living by beating up old men, faded champions, and stiffs, like "padded" Pacquiao does

*** having to defend that rubbish all day like you clowns do.

          • floyd & pacman = the biggest cowards in boxing

martinez is the only guy willing o fight anybody and he can beat anybody in boxing. thats why he should be #1 P4P ahead of pacquiao

            • I think the biggest coward is your gay, i mean, your guy Martinez. Pac & Floyd had to go up in weight to get to where they are now, Pac being the most extreme. Martinez on the other hand, is going down to pick on someone he knows is way too small for him. Talk about being the man.

              • No, he's actually wrong and so are you.

Boxers condition themselves to a certain weight that they are comfortable fighting in. It's not like some normal fat guy who wanted to lose weight, so he stops drinking water for 2 days. These guys are trained to condition their body into a fighting machine. And yes, these guys STILL do drink water everyday.

I say weight won't be an issue between these two BECAUSE it's not like these guys are forced to go down in weight they aint comfortable in. Also, both these guys will not be forced to bloat up into a certain weight where their body feels like sloppy-joe too.

So I say again. The difference in weight during fight night between the two, won't make that much of a difference at all (predicted 148 Pac -145lb JMM).

Then drink the amount of water you should've drink in the last couple of days. You're going to be almost the exact same weight as before you stopped drinking water, but you're surely going to feel like crap.

Lol ... I know they do drink water, I was trying to prove you a point. Yeah they do drink water, but first of all they don't drink water as they regularly do and they don't eat as they normaly do.

Yeah, in most fights boxers dehydrate and hydrate again to a certain amount they're still comfortable and have good energy, but in some cases (Margarito, De La Hoya) they just dehydrate like hell to get the the expected weight, and even when they get back to a weight that's still heavier than Pacquiao, they still just don't function properly, their body is just not efficent.

The thing is that you're relying on the fact that weight is almost everything during a fight. That if you are heavier during a fight, then you should be stronger. This is not the case with good examples such as Margarito and ODLH.

Also, as you just mentioned, an I quote "Unless you're going extremely way down below a weight you've never been into in a very long time, like say for example Oscar when he fought Pac." well that is also true when you go HEAVIER. JMM is going 2 divisions above LW. Even if they weight almost the same at fight night, JMM is used to have a certain weight for the weight in, and then he'll rehydrate at some degree for his fight. Now he'll try to be heavier because of the fight, or do you actually believe that he's going to be at 135 during the weight in and then 144 during the fight? It's different, by only changing the way your body dehydrates and hydrates and packs muscle mass, you can have a detrimental effect on performance.

                  • lol, so based on what I've skimmed through in the thread...

Not only should Pacquaio fight JMM at 135..He should also stop being a ***** and fight Sergio at 156..

Conclusion: "**** realistic expectations, we hate Pacquaio fans so much that we just want him to lose."

I don't know who's saying Pacquiao should fight JMM at 135, but that's pretty silly. Pacquiao fights 2 weight classes above that now, so there's no reason for him to drop that far when the fight with JMM can realistically be made between 140-147.

HOWEVER, why does the thought of Pacquiao fighting Martinez at 154 have so many people shook? Pacquiao is a 147 pound fighter who has fought at 154 pounds recently. Martinez is a 160 pound fighter who has also fought at 154 pounds recently. Outside of Mayweather, this is the most logical and attractive match up for Pacquiao in the sport. But of course, "Martinez is too big". Margarito, who I'm assuming weighed well in excess of 160 pounds in the ring, wasn't too big, but Martinez is. So what this really suggests is that Martinez isn't too big; Martinez is too big, too fast, too slick, and punches too hard. That's fine, but call it what it is.
