Im with u Flo, even the "Ugly" fights u mention were worth a watch, his inside work vs Green was excellent, this is a guy who fights equally well southpaw and orthadox, outside and inside, has a great boxing brain, top notch defence and great reflexes along with being a great ambassador for boxing - smart, articulate, god fearing and respectfull

      The answer is simple...

They don't appreciate what Andre Ward does because they don't appreciate QUALITY Boxing.....or they don't know The Sport...or they are Anti-American...or they have an agenda...or they're a nuthugger of a rival fighter...

OR...a couple or ALL of the above mixed with some other negative traits...

      To put it bluntly...

If someone UNJUSTLY bashes Andre Ward in a Boxing forum, they're basically exposing themselves as garbage fans....

and as you've probably noticed, there's a multitude of them across the entire OBC (Online Boxing Community)...

I would say 90+ % of these so called "Boxing fans" are nothing but disposable idiots...Boxing would be better off without them.

Hey know-it-all real fan snobs, he is boring. Face the facts. If you want to see someone who fights inside watch Brandon Rios, if I want to watch clinching I'll stop watching boxing and pick up UFC.

I enjoyed the fight last night...Abraham stopped fighting to win after about Round 5 or so...not Ward's fault

The truth is, if boxing was full of nothing but fighters with the style of Ward, it wouldnt even televised or thrive as a sport. Boxing thrives off of KO artists, action, and contraversy. Why else do you think a fighter like Mayorga can lose 5 fights in a row and still co-headline a ppv. He guarantees entertainment win lose or draw.

based on the Ignorance on this Forum on a Daily Basis, seems to me that some people have more of a problem with him being African American then they do with his Fighting Style...the fact that he is a African American DOMINATING International Fighters...probably makes them hate him even more It is a few undercover Kessler fans who are still bitter over that fight lol

because that is all the topics I am seeing after his dominating performance, it is just a bunch of Topics about "African Americans"

i like the guy but he has an unentertaining & ugly style cant ko cats worth a sh.it & in the end thats fans want to see. There'll come a point when he's either going to have to move up or down cause he's young and other than froch, johnson and bute, its going to be slim pickings in the SMW div. I think him and Martinez would be a great scrap...

It thrives off of guys willing to follow the Marques of Queensbury rules.

I don't have anything against Ward and think he is really skilled, but even I gotta admit there are some dudes that he has fought that he absolutely had no business going the distance with.

Glen Johnson isn't even a big knockout puncher and look at how more impressively he beat down Alan Green. I know it was after Ward did, but still. Ward should have also knocked out Miranda. Ward doesn't have the power to knock out cats and put an exclamation point on his wins and I think that's why a lot of people don't embrace his style. I feel that way in a sense, but I recognize that he's skilled and I hope the dude makes it far because other than power he has qualities that are easy to appreciate like good stamina and you can tell he is dedicated.

What exactly has Mayorga done that's been exciting lately? The reason why Mayorga gets PPV because fools like you would prefer to seem him cuss, act like a fool, quit, lose, and fight like an amateur, than see Ward win.
