I'm tired of dumb ass fan's calling out other fans like they are less fans if they don't like Ward. Ward is ***en boring. I love skilled boxers who entertain. Like Morales,Nonito, jmm,r.marquez and Cotto. Not fighters like Ward, Dirrell or Spinks. I wanna see action and heart, not just so called skill.I'd take a Arce,Segura and maidana fight over a boring ass Ward fight any day of the week.

Was Abraham boring too or was it just Ward???

Ward was actually punching...the other guy was hiding.

Shane was criticized for not fighting

      Ward is criticized for fighting

There's nothing wrong with the way Ward fights most of the times. Clinching happens. That doesn't change the fact he has exceptional skills and can adapt to multiple ways of fighting.
He has exceptional skills. Doesn't mean fans of all stripes should appreciate his strategy of intentionally clinching like it's some kind of exciting style that we just don't understand. We get it, he gets away with it. Doesn't mean it isn't against the rules or should be accepted as boxing. If all boxing was is jabbing and clinching I wouldn't watch.

Not over and over, but the fight last night and other Ward fights have not been dominated by clinching.
Maybe they weren't 5 years ago but the last 3 years have been constant clinching. I think you are just ignoring it because you are a fan of him.

Refs rarely dock points for holding unless its pushing them down or roughing them up in the clinch.
And they are wrong. It's against the rules. It's very clear. For whatever reason it's creeped into the sport gradually and become accepted as a sort of tactic, just like other things in other sports.

With fighters like Ward it happens more often than others, but that's because of Ward's style.
His style is clinching. I'd love to see a fight where he's on the verge of getting DQ'd for excessive clinching where he was forced to fight by the rules.

I am not talking about just last nights fight. I am talking about him overall.

No one is defending Abraham, or just talking exclusively about this most recent fight. They are talking about Ward's fights the last couple years.

Maybe if he got hit more he'd be more exciting.

              Yeah..that makes sense..

Go out there and take punches like a donkey..

It also makes the fighter a lot harder to hit hence why people have to hold.
Yeah, I get boxers who get low and go forward trying to position themselves on the inside. However, Ward goes forward like a bull, so he actually first hits the other fighter with his head, and then tries to get some punches on the inside. If someone was coming close to you with his head in front you would also clinch, because even if he doesn't manage to get some punches, his head would still hurt you.

How come Kessler-Froch was exciting, but Kessler-Ward blew?
How come Green-Johnson was exciting, but Green-Ward blew?

Its as if some of these boxing purests are against an actual fight where one fighter actually attempts to take out his opponent rather than play paddy cake with him and tap his way to a points decision.
