And this argument will not have arised if the Martinez nutriders would not have been calling Pac a coward for not fighting Martinez
He probably wouldn't be calling Manny if Manny didn't move up and win the WBC TITLE THAT HE GAVE UP...you honestly believe Pacquiao would have came after that 154 title if Martinez would have held on to it...*** NO!

I like Martinez but Dirrell would stick him to death.

Dirrell is just a superior fighter in every aspect.

Martinez nutriders

              Andre Dirrel

              6'2 and a 75" reach

              vs

              Sergio Martinez

              5'11 and a 75" reach

Sergio is 5-10...he wins, better boxer

I absolutely admire Sergio. I think he represents what this sport needs. I think he would lose this one though. And I'm not saying it because I think Andre is better... But he is also an amazing talent and he knows how to use his distance and height. I think if Paul was able to give Sergio trouble then so could Andre... GREAT FIGHT!!

If I had to pick a guy at 168 Martinez should not fight under any circumstances well it would be Andre Dirrell. Not only is Dirrell basically a shitty stylistic opponent for him (and basically anyone for that matter), there is really nothing in it for him because Dirrell has not proven enough for it to be worth the risk.

Just looking at the responses in this thread, why fight a guy that has a a very tough style and gets dogged constantly. It would be a decent fight that I would enjoy but I just don't see the reason in it.

Bute would make a lot more sense to me if Martinez had his heart set on trying 168, more money, more acclaim and while still a very tough fight I can't imagine it being as tough as Dirrell.

A Bute fight would be awesome..Bute comes in for the left uppercut and Martinez counters with a right hook...every time.

I dont care what box-rec lists him as ,he's bigger than 5'10.

I was in Vegas last week and i was standing next to him and im 5'10 1/2 and he was about an inch bigger than me.

                      5'11 at least.

                      Fact.
