He can dream all he wants about a fight with Chavez Jr, but he will not get that fight, Chavez will fight Cotto and after that vacate the title thanks to an injury.

Sulaiman will not let his prodigal son get near Martinez, and Mayweather and Pacquiao will not fight himjust like he doesn't fight proper tests in the SMW division.

If he wants money fights he will have to fight the canadians, Pascal and Bute, those canadians will love to have Martinez the cherry picker on their resumes, and Martinez will acomplish his dream of cashing out

He fought at 150 for the 154 title, he already said he will never fight at Super Welter.

If you applied your logic that Sergio is small at MW why the **** you want Pacquiao fighting Sergio at Super Welter if Pacquiao barely does 150 lbs.
And Sergio will rehydratate to the 170's.

I really don't understand your logic trying to discredit Pac but excusing Martinez because he's a small middleweight,

And he's barely small now, he walks at 180 lbs.
I'm not saying I want Martinez to fight Pacquiao, if you read my post like that then read it again because I actually don't want that fight because as much as it'd be cool, Sergio is too big for him. You'll note nowhere in my post did I say Pacquiao should fight Sergio, only that he had fought at SWW before and Sergio had said he wanted to fight him. The question I posed was rhetorical, seemed obvious to me but maybe you didn't pick up on that.

My point was Pac was willing to fight for a title at the Super WW division so it shouldn't be a touchy subject when bigger guys say okay, now I want to fight him there too. Martinez is just another of those guys. It's a logical progression.
Now, applying my logic to Sergio, he hasn't fought at SMW yet, right? It appears that is because he doesn't think he's big enough, hence not making the jump where he would then be called out by bigger fighters just like Pac is now. Ultimately Sergio did not 'call out' Pac, he just said he wanted to fight him. He never cried coward, etc as far as I know. If Sergio realizes/feels he's not big enough for SMW then so what if he doesn't move up? But if he does move up, and if he does win a title, I'd fully expect him to remain there and defend that title. That is why Pac's vacating of the title is an issue in my eyes. To me, if you can win it, you can and should fight to defend it. That's all, I'm not ripping Pac, that's my opinion for any fighter in any class.

As an aside, people really need to take their foot off the gas when people criticize or critique Pacquiao, or Mayweather, or "their guy." Nobody's perfect so criticism will always exist, as it should.

I love both fighters but c'mon, 168 would be suicide for Martinez especially against a guy like Dirrell. We're talking about a fighter who can make 154 still (and probably will due to lack of big fights).

            Fair points you have,

But Martinez should really try to avoid to talk about Pacquiao and he how he fights dead fighters like Mosley.

And even tough he will love to cash out versus Pacquiao or Mayweather, he will not get those fights, those guys are small welterweights.

And his only money fight is Chavez, that's a joke, yesterday he told the reporter on Canal Space that he can fight in the SMW's but he prefers Mayweather and Chavez.

Martinez said that, that he will not have any problem doing that, but he likes more the Chavez and Mayweather fight.

So he should try to put his foot on the ground and realize he will not get those fights, Cotto will first beat Chavez and Mayweather will never fight him.

He should set an example to Pac and fight proper tests with Dirrell, Bute, Pascal, etc., because for him Pacquiao opponents are cherry picked and ready for the taking.

I think Sergio probably discusses it because he's constantly asked of it lol

Yeah, I feel you though, especially since he criticizes Pac for cherrypicking he should realize he sure as **** isn't the next cherry on the tree. My thing with Sergio is it's not like he doesn't set a good example, that fight with Dzinziruk was lose-lose really, tough fighter with no name. I think there'd be nothing wrong with him fighting them at a catchweight but not for a title, they'd be entertaining fights and probably a bit more fair
