He probably wouldn't be calling Manny if Manny didn't move up and win the WBC TITLE THAT HE GAVE UP...you honestly believe Pacquiao would have came after that 154 title if Martinez would have held on to it...*** NO!Last edited by KnockUTheFukOut; 05-14-2011, 06:45 PM.Comment

Sergio is 5-10...he wins, better boxerMartinez can fight Dirrel, Dirrell has no business now at the Super Six and this will be an awsome feat for Martinez, and after that he could fight Pascal or Dawson an LHW just like he wants Pacquiao to fight him, he's the p4p number 1 it will be easy for him right? Martinez nutriders
Andre Dirrel
6'2 and a 75" reach

vs
Sergio Martinez

I absolutely admire Sergio. I think he represents what this sport needs. I think he would lose this one though. And I'm not saying it because I think Andre is better... But he is also an amazing talent and he knows how to use his distance and height. I think if Paul was able to give Sergio trouble then so could Andre... GREAT FIGHT!!Comment

If I had to pick a guy at 168 Martinez should not fight under any circumstances well it would be Andre Dirrell. Not only is Dirrell basically a shitty stylistic opponent for him (and basically anyone for that matter), there is really nothing in it for him because Dirrell has not proven enough for it to be worth the risk.
Just looking at the responses in this thread, why fight a guy that has a a very tough style and gets dogged constantly. It would be a decent fight that I would enjoy but I just don't see the reason in it.
Bute would make a lot more sense to me if Martinez had his heart set on trying 168, more money, more acclaim and while still a very tough fight I can't imagine it being as tough as Dirrell.Last edited by The Gambler1981; 05-14-2011, 07:56 PM.Comment

A Bute fight would be awesome..Bute comes in for the left uppercut and Martinez counters with a right hook...every time.If I had to pick a guy at 168 Martinez should not fight under any circumstances well it would be Andre Dirrell.
