i have no issue with margo, cotto clottey, etc etc..i have an issue with arum already having mannys next fights already lined up before he fights the one before..that is getting sickeningComment

Yup. That was some of the most crooked garbage I've ever seen in boxing, and that covers a lot of ground. I'm sick of the whole Top Rank/Team Pacquiao agenda. They just come off as a bunch of crooks, who are exploiting Manny's idiotic fanbase, who would probably watch Manny take a dump on PPV for $44.95+tax.the thing bout it is..you cant fight margo"5'11..164 on fight night)and say sergio is to big...its bull****..the correct term is sergio is TOO GOOD.that 8th title was the most bogus **** ive ever seen(along with the canelo-hatton fight)2 fighters who shouldve even be ranked in that division fighting for a vacant belt..and the person who was stripped for you to get that bogus ass title is to big???**** outta here
Stuff like this is killing boxing. There are no rules.
Say what you want about UFC, but NONE of this nonsense would fly over there. You can take that to the bank.Comment

Yeah, they'd need a lot of money to get in there with Martinez.I'm almost sure they won't walk outa that ring a winner,ur right.I hear your point of view. From a FAN'S perspective it's a very lucrative fight. But it would take a truckload of money to get either Floyd or Manny in the ring with Sergio. I'm talking like $30-$35million minimum.
For status' sake, yes a win over Martinez would mean a lot to either man. But a loss puts a serious dent in their marketing value, even if it is to a MW. A casual boxing fans puts a lot of stock into wins and losses.Comment

Yeah, and fighting a 38 year old Marquez is a huge step up for Pacman. God, fight a Timothy Bradley type fighter. Victor Ortiz. Anyone. Take a step up, and fight a LIVE BODY for once Manny!Comment

I'm pretty sure Martinez as well in one point in time in his life was 106...What's your point?i don't think its a contradiction.
Pac already went from 106 to 154, with 154 apparently beeing too much for him which is why he went back to 147. that is TWELVE WEIGHT CLASSES.
(in fairness to Floyd, he ALSO went from 106 to 154).
people are asking Martinez to just go up ONE WEIGHT CLASS.
nothing unfair there.
i actually want to see Pac fight Martinez.
But Pac was hospitalized due to severe body pains the day after his fight with Margarito. And Pac obliterated Margarito in that fight! So much as i want to see them fight, its obvious that Pac would seriously risk his life if they ever fought, since his body simply cannot take the power of a 154 champion.Last edited by jrosales13; 05-13-2011, 09:45 AM.Comment

you get worked up quite easily.the thing bout it is..you cant fight margo"5'11..164 on fight night)and say sergio is to big...its bull****..the correct term is sergio is TOO GOOD.that 8th title was the most bogus **** ive ever seen(along with the canelo-hatton fight)2 fighters who shouldve even be ranked in that division fighting for a vacant belt..and the person who was stripped for you to get that bogus ass title is to big???**** outta here
i already pointed out the fact that Pac was testing the waters with Margarito. And he even fought Margarito at 150 and not the full 154 limit.
Yet even with that catchweight, Pac felt the power of Margarito. the fact that he was HOSPITALIZED for SEVERE BODY PAINS is enough proof of that.
And to think that Pac was the one dishing most of the punishment during that fight.
Think about it.
While Pac gave more punishment to Margarito, with the rather few times Margarito caught Pac, it was enough to send Pac to the hospital. Just imagine what the outcome would have been if Margarito was able to let loose for more rounds?
And if you were Pac, would you want to go through something like that AGAIN? Apparently, Pac doesn't want to, which is why he immediately went back to 147.
You keep on saying Pac's 154 title is bogus. Ok then. So why INSIST that Pac fight AGAIN at 154? If that title upsets you so much, the take that out of your mind and focus only at his working on 147.
Don't like his 154 title? then consider him only a 7 division champion then. Simple no?Comment

Look. If Pacquiao beat Martinez he enters the top 5 all time. Boxing is about risks, you wanna see more lop sided fights?
Arum is milking Pacquiao for as much as he can, and y'all being ****** into it. Pacquiao will beat Marquez, Judah, Ortiz, the same he has with recent opponents.
Mayweather could beat Martinez imo, and he needs to take more risks than Pacquiao to gain some recognition cause he been losing his stock.
Martinez being to big is nonsense after Pacquiao beat the living hell out of Margarito. Oh he said Margarito hits to hard for him? What you expect, this is boxing.
Wake and smell the coffee, unless you wanna be robbed more by Bob the cash cow Arum.Comment

nothing wrong with that IMHO. its always good to plan ahead. lots of fighters do that. Marquez is actually doing that as we speak, with him planning of fighting Diaz as a tune up for his fight with Pac.
i noticed that though you are an intelligent poster, you have quite a lot of emotional baggage Larry. Regardless of what you feel, Bob will do what he does, Floyd will be floyd and Manny will be manny.
its a waste of energy raging over something or someone, who the actions of which, you have absolutely no control over.
on the other hand....
this may be your way of venting which can be the****utic, so this evens things out for you i guess.Comment
