I think Williams was p4p top 5 when Martinez knocked him the hell out and actually deserved that ranking. I doubt you could say the same for Cotto after he got destroyed by Margarito and then had to fight a war to beat Clottey.

i don't understand why one loss means the end of the fighter as an elite.

the answer is no. u can possibly debate cotto. but with that said, the answer to me is still no. whoever the fluck says hatton again needs to be shot. thats just ludicrous. hatton had just been put out to pasture by floyd. that win is in no way/shape/or form better than a win over p will.

and if u think p will is a hype job for losing to martinez, wtf does that make cotto? p will arguably has a better resume that cotto afterall.

shouldn't we also consider paul being rocked and crapped on by cintron?

cotto is already a much better fighter, even at that stage in his career, he was(and he still is) better than paul williams
