i don't understand why one loss means the end of the fighter as an elite.

cotto win is just as good as martinez' win over wlliams

the answer is no. u can possibly debate cotto. but with that said, the answer to me is still no. whoever the fluck says hatton again needs to be shot. thats just ludicrous. hatton had just been put out to pasture by floyd. that win is in no way/shape/or form better than a win over p will.

and if u think p will is a hype job for losing to martinez, wtf does that make cotto? p will arguably has a better resume that cotto afterall.

LOL you must be thinking of someone else. Maybe Hopkins. here's the Ranking at the end of year 2008.

Cotto at 8. Hatton at 10.

        http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Th...r_Pound--2000s

        1. Manny Pacquiao
        2. Juan Manuel Marquez
        3. Joe Calzaghe
        4. Bernard Hopkins
        5. Israel Vazquez
        6. Antonio Margarito
        7. Rafael Marquez
        8. Miguel Angel Cotto
        9. Ivan Calderon
        10. Ricky Hatton

        as of Sep. 2009

Cotto at 9. Hatton and Williams not in TOP 10

        1. Pac
        2. Floyd
        3. Shane
        4. Hopkins
        5. JMM

COTTO has always been ranked inside the TOP 10. This is given Cotto > PW

In reality no.But being that the majority of fight fans have never liked the Punisher & 2/3'rds of fight fans like Pacman, the answer to them will be yes.The Punisher was #3 I believe pfp, couldn't get a fight with the sports top 2 & was dubbed the most feared fighter in 3 weight classes. This is as close to fact as it comes.

Every last fighter that Pacman faced had already been brutaly ko'd except for maybe Diaz & Clottey & Mosley who really wasn't worth the time of day & Oscar who was only stopped by boxing's greatest active fighter.Remember the Punisher alreaty beat the best version of Margarito.Hatton ko'd.Cotto ko'd.Margarito ko'd.Clottey didn't fight,Mosley 40 years & shot.Oscar half dead on a diet of Kangaroo meat.If there was 1 Pacman fan with the ability to keep it reel,I'd be surprised!!

I think it's close between Cotto and Sergio beating Paul Williams.

Sergio knocked out Paul Williams at a catchweight. Do you care about that at all?

or blocking with his face vs martinez?

cotto is already a much better fighter, even at that stage in his career, he was(and he still is) better than paul williams

                resume wise and skills wise

and hatton was also better than the martinez' win over paul williams

Listen, when U can find where I said pacman gets no credit for beating Cotto, then maybe U can keep trying to bring it up.But that's not Martinez's fault that the Punisher wanted the catchweight, now is it??

Bushbaby just has ridiculous double standards with catchweights. He loves to bring them up for Pacquiao but Paul Williams asks for a catchweight and he doesn't ever bring it up.
