Above 130, does Pacquiao hold a win better than Martinez's win over Paul Williams?

I think 140 fight with Ricky evens out against Martinez's win over PWill. And probably surpasses it, even a little. Ricky was widely regarded to win and was very accomplished at 140.

Ricky was picked by man to win, because of his size and power advantage. He never was beat at 140. Only losing after having to move up to Floyd, still in which he was competitive in. Pac took him out in the same fashion than Martinez beat PWill.

Pac over Cotto will remain his signature win above 130 until he faces and beats Mayweather. Cotto was, still is and will always be better than Paul Williams. The only thing Paul has on him is his 9" height and like 15" reach advantage. Pac fought and beat perhaps a future HoF at his weight, catchweight not withstanding convincingly.

        Yes.

        Hatton, Cotto and Marquez.

Marquez is a HOF, and was the second best SFW when Manny beat him.

Hatton, who lost to a guy I feel is a top 25 ATG (also out of his weight class might I add), was clearly the best 140lb when Manny beat him.

Cotto was a top 3 WW and was a proven champ there.

Now let's compare Williams. At 160, who has he beaten there? Now I do think it's a great win, but Williams only good wins at 160 were Winky Wright (dude was most def past it) and Andy Kolle. Then at 154, his resume was

        Verno Phillips 42-10
        Sergio Rios 18-2
        Martez Logan 20-18
        Sammy Sparkman 15-12

If we are being technical, Williams was a good fighter p4p but he is unproven at MW, and JMW as well. Again it's a great win for Martinez but I give the edge to Cotto, Marquez and Hatton because those guys were proven champs at those respected weight classes and were top 3 fighters in their weight classes as well.

Thats what I'm saying. Those guys were proven champs in there respected weight classes.

At 160 Williams best wins are a faded, inactive Winky Wright and Andy Kolle .

Then at 154, his only decent win prior to that was an old a$$ verno Phillips.

The fact that the OP has to include a qualifier (Above 130) kind of gives you the idea he's reaching with this poll.

He won his way to the top right? No one at 147 or 154 walks thru Paul.

Where are these peoplethat picked Hatton? Losses know no weight classes and a drop to 140 doesnt recover the confidence lost after being undefeated.

Sergio has the better win IMO! Paul Williams has never been KO'd b4 he met Sergio, Cotto & Hatton where 2 broken fighters when they met Manny.
