the great jorge arce pulled it off! he won the psycological war early on who's the man.
he had vazquez cowarding at times. amazing! able to absorb some punishing blows and still chase down vazquez. whoa!

i hope these career merits of Arce gets him in the hall of fame.

but dang... after 11 I had vazquez ahead.
and if it went 12 and i made 12th arce 10-8.
I would of had it a draw.

the full fight vid is out there. watching it streaming left alot to be desired. and corner stoppage looked less questionable streaming.

but on second look take note that after fight was stopped vazquez jr. does not look wiped out. and he was throwing back. and arce had little power on those punches.
vazquez was ahead on the cards. he just had to make it thru less then a minute.

I believe Vazquez was only ahead on one card and the other two were EVEN. Even if the fight was not stopped by his corner the round would of gone to arce making him the winner. They both were tired but Vazquez had less left in him.

Its been this way over the years between Mexico and Puerto Rico.. We have each had some surges in the rivalry its Mexicos turn and they are doind a great job of beating our young champs. The tides will eventually turn. If it keeps going like this it can no longer be called a rivalry.. Recently its more like a massacre

Watch the last flurry... Much of it was missing and Vasquez landed a shot and it seemed as though Arce was tired of MISSING like 10 shots at the end. Vasquez father was too emotional and thus threw in the towel too soon. I love my son and can see how I would not like to see him taking unnecessary shots... Add to that he was WAY across the ring and could not see that Arce was punching a lot of air.. I feel as though having seen the tape, Vasquez father will realize he was a bit too quick to throw the towel.

this excuse is too funny,by the way,is it me or does vazquez jr wear lipstick?..dude looks too feminine with his plucked eye brows and then i noticed in a close up when he was interviewed it looked like he was wearing lipstick..
