I saw the stats while watching last night.

Goes to show Shane was real hesitant to engage because of Manny's power. He simple didn't come to win.

I think Mayweather put up the better defensive effort. I'm not arguing that.....I'm just saying for someone, who people claim is easy to hit, he put up a great defensive performace.

Compubox only confirms what I saw, which is Manny blocking and avoiding a lot of Mosley's shots. Was it a Pernell Whitaker or Bernard hopkins kinda night, no and I'm not saying that. All I'm saying is his defense looked pretty good last night.

shane doesn't have to engage you ret@rds. shane is a old SHOT to **** fighter. he could care less about getting in a mindless brawl feeding into pacs strong points......shane fought the same way against mayweather it's just that mayweather knew how to follow him & cut off the ring.

the stats prove that pac threw 2 to 300 punches less then usual. (700) this is mayweather numbers. mayweather throws 6 to 700 punches each fight. this is BAD news for pac......mayweather would cut his numbers even LOWER then what shane was able to do.

to be honest who knows. the stats could be rigged. sho time stats were probably truthful..........

In the Pac fight he saw that he could keep Pac at the end of his jab, and that Pac couldn't catch him on the back-foot (very similar to how he had trouble catching Cotto in very similar circumstances) so that all he wanted to do.

When Mosley has a strategy that works, he sticks with it. And when it stops working, he sticks with it.
I believe that's half of it, the other half was him being completely gun shy in fear of getting KO'd after the 3rd round, which he has never been in any of his 54 previous fights. It was frustrating and sad to see someone like Shane fight the way he did last night. He would have been better off just staying down after the KD in the 3rd if he was just going to avoid contact for the last 9 rounds.

How is Shane being shot restrict him from throwing punches?

Arce was considered as shot as Mosley and was simply a lamb being sacrificed and he throw a ton of punches

Pac was literally running at him

Well you're going to expect some differences from everyone's punch stats due to human error, but you at least expect them to be what? +/- 5% from each other? In this case the percentage difference is pretty large 552 to 727 is over 30% in difference.

Not a knock on boxing scene, but I agree with you. I will tend to lean towards Showtime's numbers before theirs for obvious reasons.

FWIW IMO he did as Manny was blocking a bunch of them and I rarely saw Mosley land flush. This is what I saw and the CompuBox numbers futher back this up.
I meant THROW anything to land. He did that little pitter patt stuff.
