HBO to blame for Khan-Bradley falling apart. Greenburg needs to go!

I searched on Google why the fight fell apart and it put me onto a forum were they said practically the same thing. Basically they were saying something like HBO offered £3million for Alexander vs Bradley and is now offering the same for Khan vs Bradley which is a bigger fight, so Bradley feels he deserves more than what he was offered before or some **** like that? Might be wrong though.Comment

When was Khan bashed for something remotely like this??Comment

**** it though, if Bradley doesn't take the fight then thats crazy, I think he would beat Khan and if he did beat Khan it could take his career to another level and he could become a P4Per from it, so his loss I guess if hes the one holding up the fight.
If its the case that Bradleys holding it all up Khan should just fight Judah IMO, relatively big name and could boost his career cause Judah in general is a good fighter.Comment

Alexander was supposedly the 2nd ebst fighter, so why does Bradley want more VS Khan who must be 3rd?Comment

But being a draw shouldn't really affect this. I mean Martinez couldn't draw flies to ****, and I think he deserves a lot of money. The mistake HBO made was overpaying guys like Floyd and Cotto for tomato can fights, and then they newer guys starting thinking "hey, since they get that much, we should too!". And they have every right to think so. But the difference between Berto and Bradley is that Bradley has proven himself. Berto didn't.Comment

How doesn't he deserve more money than that? If guys like Floyd and Cotto can get millions to fight guys like Baldomir or Gomez, why shouldn't Bradley get more than 1.3? He's beaten Vazquez, Witter, Holt, Campbell, Peterson and Alexander. That's an EXCELLENT resume. Khan's is pretty good too.
They're only going to spend more cash if the dude proves he can generate television numbers, which he has not. Alvarez-Hatton did almost the same numbers as Alexander-Bradley, right? HBO spent millions of dollars hyping Bradley-Alexander expecting it to turn the winner intoa superstar (it didn't), meanwhile they spent absolutely nothing on hyping Canelo's fight.
Canelos fight did better than expected, Bradley fight did worse than expected. That means Canelo's going to get paid more in his next fight, and Bradley is not. That's how this thing works.
Look at it this way: Martinez hasn't got many 1,000,000 paydays yet. He does better numbers and is probably more well known than Tim Bradley since he beat Pavlik and Williams, yet he isn't complaining about the 750k he's been getting. It's because 750K is a lot of money for a guy with zero fans.Last edited by paulf; 05-01-2011, 10:24 AM.Comment

I dont condone Bradley declining the offer, 1.3 million is a lot of money... but I sorta agree that HBO are to blame to a certain degree. Like I said though, I do think Bradley deserves a small portion of the UK money too, regardless of whether you think it will be big in the UK or not.
