Just out of curiosity, for the people who voted that Pacquiao isn't bad for boxing. Please state your racial or ethnic identity. I have a feeling it's mainly Filipinos and Asians voting.

You know, this is a good question. Any press is good press. Pac is bringing a lot of fans to boxing again. The price we have to pay is the inexperience of the newbie. But as you can see most of these articles posted pander to that.

That's marketing folks. Who knows, maybe a pac fan watching him one night will see someone else do amazing things and be hooked for life.

Hispanic, he's not bad for boxing at all. He's not giving a black eye to the sport. There is no real negative talk of him outside of hardcore fans. So he's not bad for the sport.

However, he's not helping the sport either. He's not doing the sport any favors by fighting washed up recycled fighters and charging for it. He's helping his wallet but not the sport.

Honestly though we are everywhere... you go to some remote country in africa, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a pinoy living there.

Ok SportsCenter shows what the american sports fan is interested. Understand? I watch tennis and Friday Night Fights and all the HBO and Showtime boxing. But the average american sports fan doesn't give a damn about any of those. As is represented by the attention given to them on SportsCenter Could.I.Make.Myself.Any.Clearer?
Wrong. The average american sports fan doesn't give a damn about cricket, ping pong, archery, curling, etc., etc.

These sports, boxing and tennis, are on american tv stations on a regular basis, because, get this,

people care about them and actually watch them. Besides Friday Night Fights, there is also, Top Rank Boxing, Golden Boy Promotions boxing, which show weekly, on american tv. Add in the boxing that shows on the Mexican channels, in america,

and theres even more boxing for you. Tennis, even has its own channel. Now quit your sniveling and realize, you don't make up the majority of a country. You, are one person with a set of interests.
