Retirement is the best solution for James Kirkland

    Anyone else feel this way?

I mean, this guy was overhyped worse than Danny Jacobs and Vic Ortiz (Jacobs KOd by Pirog, Ortiz exposed by Maidana and now has a title but was still exposed by Maidana to begin with).

Who else thinks James Kirkland should retire?

I mean, losing by 1st round KO to Nobuhiro Ishida is god damn embarrassing.

James Kirkland is probably the biggest boxing bust of the last 10 years, and his KO loss to Ishida is one of the worst performances ever in the history of boxing.

"Pathetic" doesn't even come close to capturely how truly bad Kirkland's performance was. Whatever he does for the rest of his career won't matter, as he'll always be remembered as the guy who got KO'd by Ishida.

I really think retirement is the best move for Kirkland.

If he gets KO'd again in the re-match being discussed then MAYBE but I'm not ready to put him in his grave yet.

Even if he wins the rematch (which he wont)

Its not going to erase this.

I mean Jesus, the guy was a -2000 betting favourite.

Many boxing experts call it one of the worst losses of alltime.

Only in boxing can someone lose and say they should retire right away.

kirkland just got out of prison and had fought 2 patsies who took dives without getting hit. and one of those guys badly wobbled him even though he was just there to lose.

Nothing personal to James, I think he is a good guy as a person from what Ive seen of him.

Its just, there seems to be something wrong with him and I don't believe he is as talented as people make him out to be.

To be honest I think James has issues with punch resistance and I think he is a bit shopworn. He's had some very tough fights before he went to prison and was dropped and took a lot of punches in his fight.

I feel Kirkland is a bit shopworn and thus should perhaps consider retiring.

Just wanna see if people agree.
