The problem with that is there is a difference between water weight and muscle weight.

Water weight isn't gonna help much if your a 135lbs fighter fighting at 147lbs.

so you want Pac to dehydrate 8-10 lbs while JMM in his strongest weight of 135 lbs? or Pac can come in 144 lbs and JMM can come in 137 lbs. no one will dehydrate and they are both at their strongest on weigh in?

then come fight night Pac will come in 147 lbs to JMM's 144 lbs like the usual. JMM always come on fight night around that weight so whats the disadvantage there? there is no weight advantage for Pac here. i dont see any advantage. its not like Pac is a regular Welterweight who come in fight night around 160 lbs? like Cotto, Mosley, Clottey, Margarito etc..

JMM is the one chasing Pac not the other way around. im pretty sure if Pac was the one chasing him he is willing to dehydrate 10 lbs to fight JMM in 135 lbs.

i dont kno why haters dont understand. the reason Pac is so strong in a welterweight even though he was giving up 10-15 lbs was because he didnt have to dehydrate like he used to when fighting in a lower weight class.

This right here. Pac worked his way up to WW, and he's on top which means he calls the shots. If JMM wants it come and get it.

either way, just like floyd, manny gets nothing from beating marquez at 147.

This is true. Pac has been coming into the ring at 145ish since his featherweight days, difference between then and now is that it's lean muscle mass he's put on as opposed to about 15-20 lbs of water weight after draining himself.

It's more important what kind of weight you put on as opposed to how much.

It would be in Marquez's best interest to hire a world class nutritionist/trainer (he would be able to afford it ) and concentrate on putting on about 7 lbs of lean muscle in the months leading up to the fight. He'd be stronger, faster, and not just bigger/heavier.

This is what Larry is refusing to acknowledge. Pacquiao for a fight at 147 will weigh in at 144 or 145 and be a lean, ripped, strong, monster.

If Marquez weighs in under 140 to be comfortable, he is giving up a massive weight disadvantage at the weigh in that will matter come fight night. It won't matter if he is only 2 pounds behind Pacquiao on fight night, he only has the body of a lightweight whereas Pacquiao has the body of a welterweight.

Stop talking about how you want Martinez di(k than nobody is going to call you a f@g dawg.

About the PAC Martinez ****, you swear like PAC campaign at 154 on a regular basic. PAC only took a fight there because it was an opportunity for him get get a belt. And he couldn't even filled out the 150 catchweight, he weighted in at 144 for the weight in. How the he'll you going get a guy that can't even make 154 to fight a guy that weight no more than 147-149 on fight night LOL.

people will never be satisfy until they see manny lose... whether they wanna come out and admit it or not its the truth.. some of these guys hate manny so much as if manny did something to them personally.. i just dont see how u can hate a guy like manny.. im not saying u have to like him or pick him as your fav fighter but some of these guys will go as far as making racist remarks about the guy.. i bet if they met manny in person and talk to him they wouldnt have anything bad to say about him afterward..

thats the thing, at this point in pac's career he doesnt have to make a "statement" anymore.. he's paid his dues... if u want to be the next bad azz then u know the drill.. its always if pac think he's the best he needs to go up or go down in weight as if pac havent been doing this... a guy can only do so much...
