SRR is the greatest ever just for fighting under the old rules that today's fighters would cry about. SRR dominated in an era where you could do just about anything in the ring. Now that's toughness.

AWESOME POST....I'm surprised no one has mentioned this. Dudes could spit in your face and elbow you, no to mention load gloves with no scrutiny at all and people are forgetting that Robinson was a black man fighting in the height of racist times.....they would not even check the other guy's stuff because of Robinson's skin color.

If Robinson was fighting in this era, he would have all the benefits of technology and sports knowledge so it would only make him that much better fighting today. There is no argument in my mind, as a fan of boxing, that Robinson was the greatest ever.

Thats the way they are marketing manny pacquiao to the casual fan, and this has sparked off a movement of avid followers and legions of passion filled idiots exerting their contaminated views and energy to produce ridiculous comments,arguments and bat **** crazy things like this here poll.

Pacquiao is a great fighter. But polling him with Sugar Ray Robinson for the greatest of all time is just not right. No disrespect to the pacman.

Had the poll have read "whos the greatest fighter of all time: Sugar Ray Robinson or Harry Greb?" , then that can be argued.

For me personally i have special admiration for Greb. But I acknowledge that the sugar man put the sweet in the science.

So true! Perhaps it was Roger (everyone is on drugs, but no one comes across as drug addled as me) Mayweather who kept voting for Manny after a major session on the pipe.

No disrespect to Manny, he's amazing but SRR in a class all of his own.
