Natural athlete with apparrent skills already. I think he could improve on all aspects of his game before he hangs em up. He just has never really been pushed like that before so was getting by. Who knows if he will thoComment

Seen a few fights with Berto. "Let the other guy punch out" has NEVER been a strategy and he was undefeated all this time. So all of sudden Berto's or his "brilliant" corner came out with this strategy, highly unlikely IMHO.Maybe, but you and I don't know for sure. For me he was either trying to make Ortiz punch himself out or he was indeed tired, but not that he lost his confidence.
I said, I thought of that before Lampley said it. So I want alone in thinking that. And what's wrong with Lampley? he's a good commentator.
Just look at Berto's facial expression during postfight interview, he didn't look too confident. He has no solution for Ortiz at least for now. That is not to say he has NO chance of beating Ortiz in a rematch. Berto knows where he stands.Comment

As ****ty as Berto is...Ortiz couldn't finish him and was almost KO'd by that BUM.Seen a few fights with Berto. Vic should fight Mayweather and get PAID....Manny will want him to weigh 142 or some weak crap like that.Comment

Vic is not w/o problem. Did you notice he was out of balance quite a few times when he misses the power punches and got clocked? His head sticks way out. But a rematch I would still favor Ortiz.
Vic should def get paid if not Mayweather maybe someone else. But a victory like this deserves a lot of $$ and pu$$y.Comment

Like Berto was, Ortiz is too high-risk and high-reward for both of them. Even more than Berto. Don't see it happening. If anything, they'll probably want to see him fight one more time before signing up. If he looks good enough to build a buzz, and if he shows enough flaws to whet their appe******, I bet one of them bites. That performance a week ago was mighty impressive but Ortiz did show some flaws and I could see him getting laid out by a Pacquiao. Then again, he might get his in too. I think he has an even better chance against Floyd who, as he nears his twilight, has become a potshotter who fights at a very measured pace. Like Hopkins. Opponents like Ortiz make their life a living hell because they won't stop coming and they don't have the power to sit his ass down for good. Mayweather has enough pop to make Ortiz respect him and the chin to handle the inevitable hard shot. But can he handle an onslaught? What if Mosley landed that hard right again in the later rounds? Would love to see Ortiz against either one but all boxing fans have left these days is our imagination.Comment

I agree on all counts.Vic is not w/o problem. Did you notice he was out of balance quite a few times when he misses the power punches and got clocked? His head sticks way out. But a rematch I would still favor Ortiz.

A rematch ain't making money and Berto really doesn't deserve one...not because of the Ortiz fight...but because of his career as a whole.
He had a good run being the glorified club-fighter he is.
Berto fights like a guy they pulled from the audience 5 minutes before the fight.Comment
