Ortiz "I would end Berto's career in a re-match"

berto caught ortiz with a few good punches in every round. in the 6th round he just caught him with a really good one and got extra energy from it.But why did he decided to fight out of nowhere in round 6 and dominated until the end? I saw the same thing happen in rounds 2-5, so if he had no confidence in any of those rounds, what made him have confidence in round 6?
For me, I can only agree that he was tired, but not lack of confidence. And even then, how can you be tired if you average 30 punches thrown from round 1-5, then out of nowhere from round 6-12 you average almost 50 punches per round. What kind of tired is that? A tank like Berto doesn't get a second wind like that. For me, I think Berto was banking on Ortiz being so heavy and eventually punch himself out. That's what it looked like he was doing. And when I told my friend this that was watching it with me, right there Jim Lampley had the same thought as me. Lampley said maybe Berto waiting for Ortiz to get tired and punch himself out. Honestly that's what I saw, but too bad it backfired on Berto because Ortiz never got tired or slowed down, being heavy didn't hurt him afterall, it made him stronger and gave him more energy.Comment

Really? then why are people calling it a Fight of The Year frontrunner? I don't think clinch fests get that high praise.
46% power punches landed by Berto, if that's clinching the whole fight, imagine if he didn't clinch, would he have landed 100% of his power punches on Ortiz then?Comment

Maybe Berto recovered after the 5th rd and his legs came back. But why did he decided to fight out of nowhere in round 6 and dominated until the end? I saw the same thing happen in rounds 2-5, so if he had no confidence in any of those rounds, what made him have confidence in round 6?

You actually take Lampley seriously?

Berto still has pretty good speed and is very dangerous. Probably needs a bit more work on the stamina. But he's foot work is not that good and not sure how much he would improve on that.Comment

Maybe, but you and I don't know for sure. For me he was either trying to make Ortiz punch himself out or he was indeed tired, but not that he lost his confidence.
I said, I thought of that before Lampley said it. So I want alone in thinking that. And what's wrong with Lampley? he's a good commentator.Comment
