It's only right that the FightOTY/FightOTY candidate gets a rematch?

The first fight went the distance and nothing told me that Ortiz would blow Berto out in a second fight. The first fight told me that they would both go blow for blow in a rematch.

If I had to make an official prediction for the rematch I think it would be another victor ud. But Vic stopping berto wouldn't shock me.

        THOUGHTS?
Ortiz outlanded Berto 2:1 just on stat alone. 100 punches on the chin. ONLY 15 body punches was landed on Ortiz. Draw your own conclusion.
Although not the most accurate number, it's telling. Berto's stock would drop significantly if there is rematch loss.

Even w/o knockout. The conclusion of the fight was no fluke

You're supposed to clinch when you're in trouble. Clinching is not a bad thing, you would know if you boxed and got rocked, you'll find yourself having either to run away or clinch. If you stay there trying to be macho man, you'll get knocked out and there's a TKO loss on your record for being ******.

Boy that vacation really changed him. Whatever it was, he has come back with a different attitude and mindset.

They landed almost the same amount of power punches[%], but Ortiz threw double what Berto threw in power punches. That tells me that if Berto did't take rounds 2-5 off, and threw power punches, the fight would have been much closer than it already was.

                Berto power punches: 46% 115/251
                Ortiz power punches: 47% 266/570

Berto won the jabbing contest with 32/229 14%

Ortiz won the overall total punches 281/696 41% vs 147/480.

At the end of the day, Ortiz took advantage of Berto being dumb taking rounds 2-5 off on the ropes, inviting Ortiz to get free hits.

He didn't take those rounds off because he felt like it. His legs were gone and he lost his confidence.
