    Berto power punches: 46% 115/251
    Ortiz power punches: 47% 266/570

Berto won the jabbing contest with 32/229 14%

Ortiz won the overall total punches 281/696 41% vs 147/480.

At the end of the day, Ortiz took advantage of Berto being dumb taking rounds 2-5 off on the ropes, inviting Ortiz to get free hits.
its kinda hard to throw punches when you get hurt.

Berto should find a job somewhere before he gets hurt.

He can't fight on the inside...never throws bodyshots...and has legs like a Flamingo with polio..

        Plus..

He's a dumb fighter that can't adjust....and...he's trained by NOBODIES.

Ortiz would easily win a rematch with Berto.

He would still lose to Maidana tho at any weight.

And its better to use your footwork when your in trouble than to just clinch. Clinching = losing the round in the judges eyes and sapping your upperbody strength and energy.

lol. He doesn't have a left hook either.... Though I don't think he should retire.

But why did he decided to fight out of nowhere in round 6 and dominated until the end? I saw the same thing happen in rounds 2-5, so if he had no confidence in any of those rounds, what made him have confidence in round 6?

For me, I can only agree that he was tired, but not lack of confidence. And even then, how can you be tired if you average 30 punches thrown from round 1-5, then out of nowhere from round 6-12 you average almost 50 punches per round. What kind of tired is that? A tank like Berto doesn't get a second wind like that. For me, I think Berto was banking on Ortiz being so heavy and eventually punch himself out. That's what it looked like he was doing. And when I told my friend this that was watching it with me, right there Jim Lampley had the same thought as me. Lampley said maybe Berto waiting for Ortiz to get tired and punch himself out. Honestly that's what I saw, but too bad it backfired on Berto because Ortiz never got tired or slowed down, being heavy didn't hurt him afterall, it made him stronger and gave him more energy.

So if they were both hurt, and Ortiz was hurt by a guy who needs to go find another job, and went the distance with him, then shouldn't they both have to go find other jobs? I mean Berto knocked him down twice.

Berto was hurt and needed the rope. Even Steward commented on that. Even after Berto recovered in the 6th, Ortiz clearly outlanded power punches (amount not percentage). The outcome of the fight was not a fluke. It seems to be Berto actually has problem following the head movement of Ortiz during the fight. This is what surprised me the most for this fight as I thought Berto would prevail.
