Does he have it in him to quit again when faced with adversity? I think so.

He seems to be a tempermental fighter and it can work both ways for him.

On one end he can have a work-a-day mentality that will accept quitting if the challenge is too difficult (as we saw against Maidana). Yet on the other hand his emotional mentality can work great for him if he is highly motivated.

In both cases it seems as though one can tell BEFORE the fight even starts if he is going to be beat, or dole out a massive beating. I also believe this manifests itself in his appearance. At the berto fight Ortiz had the cold, death-stare and the beard of a hobo who caught a yuppie stealing his sandwhich. He was going to get it back, life or death. He looked crazy and fought crazy too.

It was great to see and a statement to doubters.

Didn't change my mind, I liked Ortiz before he fought Berto and I still like him.

All this crap about "heart" is just media-driven garbage.

Anyone who gets in the ring to give and receive punishment has heart.

When he said he didn't deserve to get punched in the face and he had some thinking to do I hated on Ortiz....but after he owned Berto in that hellacious war and showed he has a heart of a lion I took it all back, Ortiz won a fan in me.

He did a bit. I'd like to see it last for just more than one fight though. If hes got it,

hes going to be a serious problem at 147.

well ain't that a poetic note. but still, the fact of the matter is, he quit and told everyone why he's not cut out for this sport. it was legitimate doubt and to some degree still is.

those of us who have been on Vic's corner from the get go could easily say "I told you so" but that's not here nor there.....

The real question is......have you changed your mind about Vic-O after his performance vs Berto?

                    Wachugot?
I didn't change my mind about anything, I was inclined to believe the Maidana fight was a fluke, but after seeing him kinda cruise and look somewhat hesitant versus Peterson, I didn't know what to think. Victor just answered my questions. He fought great, seemed to be and was very determined. That fight was great, both of those guys gave us a show for like the first 6-7 rounds, and after that Ortiz took control...and his performance surprised me in that sense. I'm looking forward to his return to the ring, once again.
