Everyone knew Ortiz was the bigger guy,he actually came in at 161,5lbs more than Berto.He was taller and younger meaning he was more fit.Everyone knew Ortiz was actually faster than Berto but not as rounded in terms of skills.Those who knew boxing and followed Berto from the amateurs that Berto cant deal with Southpaws,that's the reason Ortiz chose Berto.He even mentioned the Collazo fight as the blueprint to beating Berto

i disagree that berto has more skills that ortiz. ortiz holds his hands up and protects himself better. he also follows game plans. they said they knew berto could not fight inside and all throughout the fight when ortiz got inside he ****** berto to the body and head and there was basically nothing in return from berto. berto is basically speed and power... that's it. that's all he himself talked about bringing into the fight. he thinks speed will get him through any fighter.

Its funny how everyone is making it seem like they knew Ortiz was gonna run thru Berto. Talking about he was actually the bigger man, faster, better shape or w.e. I remember people calling for Pacquiao to fight Berto instead of Mosley. I seen a thread during the week saying something about Mayweather should get in there with Andre if he whoops Ortiz. And now that its the other way around and Ortiz sonned Berto, Berto is a bum and Ortiz victory means nothing. **** is crazy.

They didn't even bother to ask Victor if he wanted Floyd because he has no shot at getting a fight with Floyd. Sergio been calling out Pac, Cotto and Floyd but being how he has a better shot at fighting Pac or Cotto then Floyd, he just mnentioned him and didn't push as hard as he did vs the other 2.

I think both of them are very mechanical type of fighters,just power and speed but I think Berto has more skill.Ortiz is very fast and powerful but he fights in straight lines with very little lateral movements.If you cant deal with that southpaw jab then you are done.What Ortiz needs is someone who holds their left hand high the way Khan held his against McCloskey.If you do that and you are taller then you beat Ortiz 100 times out of 100 because he can not change his style.Even Peterson once he knew how to neutralise Ortiz's jab nothing came from Ortiz.Problem with Berto is he held his left a bit low and Ortiz landed everytime he came through.Another way of beating Ortiz is just lateral movement even if it means you only move your upper body like McCloskey but.In the end Berto & Ortiz had a good style match and they produced a great fight.

Floydie has no reason to take the challenge of Ortiz, because Pac is right now is his suitable dancing partner in the ring, and this has been long overdue! However, it is not surprising when pac take this challenge from Ortiz if Floydie continue his reluctance facing Pac and no option for Pac than facing this low reward fights but could pose upset to any top fighters.

thing is i think this saturdays victor ortiz has the tools to take care of anyone, boxer or slugger in the welterweight divisions, except may, pac, and matinez.

I want Ortiz to face Khan on Khan's debut in WW just in case he proceeds his plan going north! I think Khan may handle him well!
