Fresh from the biggest win of his career, WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz is looking to secure the most lucrative fights possible. Last Saturday at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, Ortiz (29-2-2, 22KOs) captured the welterweight crown with a twelve round unanimous decision in a "Fight of The Year" battle with previously unbeaten Andre Berto.

Mayweather was there ringside why didnt Victor call him out then.I'm sure Larry would have been more than excited to get Mayweather's response at that very moment

Ortiz would be the perfect opponent for Floyd for a tune-up fight in preperation for Manny.

Ortiz's no threat to anyone except sluggers. He moves in straight lines and any boxer will make him look like a fraud.Peterson used his boxing skills to beat earn a draw despite having had knockdowns. If you cant get away yes Ortiz will be a threat but frustrate Ortiz once and he has no plan B.
