Ortiz did what he was supposed to do against a paper champion. Maidana would've easily beat Berto as well although he would've definatly gotten at least 1 point taken away for rabbit punching if they had the same douchebag referee.
Maidana beat Berto? are you a complete moron? Maidana wouldn't stand a chance, poor foot work, poor boxing skills, slow, wide open. do you understand why Ortiz beat Berto? do you understand boxing?

i like madaina , hes exciting and comes to smash his foes, but you know

what really STANDS out that makes me not believe him?..

the fact he said the ortiz berto fight could have gone either way

      are you kidding????????????

berto did not win more than 2 rounds............

obviously madaina is a bit biased....

also, ortiz knocks madaina out at 147, an old morales had him rocked in the

      8th round.

at 147 ortiz is a physical beast, fighting fresh with vigor.....

he didnt have to coast the last 4 rounds like he used to....

i think the rematch should be made...

i say ortiz knockout in 4......

yes it will be early, these guys like to fight and although i like madaina

and would pick him against ortiz again at 140, he gets thoroughly white

washed and destroyed at 147 against ortiz...

at 147 ortiz is in his physical prime weight.....

Maidana would punch harder than Ortiz at 147. If Berto did what he did against Ortiz by doing the ****** Rope-a-dope he would get his ass knocked out by Maidana.
Berto if he boxes would win with ease though.

Maidana didn't hit harder than Ortiz at 140, where are you seeing Maidana power at, some journeyman, Couldn't knock out Corley, couldn't knock out Morales, Ortiz was able to do that to Berto because of his boxing skills, Berto wouldn't need to lay on the ropes against Maidana nor could Maidana push him to the ropes, he is too fast for Maidana would box his ears off and eat his shots. As far as I'm concerned Prescott hits harder than Maidana

And yet Maidana beat Ortiz who has better foot work and boxing skills.

Ortiz couldn't handle the pressure, couldn't handle the cut, didn't want to go to war just to win a fight, Ortiz was up 48-45 before the 6th round, styles make fights, some fighters don't like pressure, Maidana hit him harder than he had been until that point in his career. If was a different Ortiz that night, Berto lost confidence when Ortiz was walking through some of his shots, he didn't have the right game plan, looked uncomfortable and confused, his corner didn't help at all and had nothing to say. think Maidana will hit harder than Ortiz at Welter and to think he can beat Berto is ignorance,

its a logical statement, Prescott knocked out Khan in the first round a fresh Khan, Maidana couldn't put a tired Khan away. Just pointing out the obvious buddy.

look, your logic is so skewed against maidana, your argument only works one way. it's painfully obvious how dumb you are. pointless to "debate" with someone like you, i can understand how people just resort to hurling insults.
