Dude... please it was a medical stoppage due to body malfunction.. I can't believe i'm arguing this with you. A DOCTOR deems the fight over...it's an injury due to a cut. Either way both his losses are premature stoppages because his body failed him while giving boxing clinics to his victors.. Those are the facts!

Getting cut by a punch is not an injury. Yes it was stopped cuz' his face got ****ed up by punches. That's the name of the game man.

        I can't believe I'm arguing with you.

And, BTW Marcel Cerdan fought like 8 rounds with his arm hanging by a thread. 8 rounds like that against the F'ing raging bull man.

I doubt a man, you know a real man, like Cerdan would have quit with just 3 more rounds against a feather fisted fighter like Byrd. If took him 8 rounds to finally say enough against Lamotta. Then he would have toughen it out against a feather fisted fighter.

Joe Calzaghe wouldve done the same thing to Vitali. If Supermiddleweight Byrd can get it done why not Joe?

That's exactly why he did quit is because Byrd was a light hitter. He had nothing to prove. If he would've quit.. let's say against Lennox..then there'd be room to question. The mentality is I have NOTHING to gain by causing further serious injury to my shoulder to a powder puff like Byrd WHO I WAS schooling anyways. Every situation is different. The feeling is that he was ahead.. had it in the bag & most importantly he had NOTHING to prove to anyone else but himself. That all changed as with the Lennox fight he had everything to prove as a result. Knowing him now... no one ever questions his heart again. Show me a fighter with his entire face looking like Freddy Kruger's nightmare still plodding forward until someone tells him to stop..shows you that if the mentality was there in the Lewis fight..would've been there in the Byrd fight..sense of urgency wasn't the same & if it were he probab ly would've continued.. there's a fine line between Golota courage & Vitali could've easily shown he was made from that cloth. You DON'T have the highest knockout % in the sports heaviest division by being soft. Vitali is IMO the baddest big in history without a doubt.

Afterall.. he hasn't lost in any other way & forfeited 4 yrs of his career to the injury bug. He's won 42 of 44 fights 95.5%... In those 4 years he could've gotten in 6 to 8 bouts & would have had as many title defenses as his brother who's won 55 of 58 fights 94.8%

Vitali Klitschko has the highest knockout ratio in heavyweight history... has the highest % of rds won in heavyweight history... has the highest offensive to defensive discrepancy in terms of landing punches & having them land on him in heavyweight history & could EASILY have the highest winning % in heavyweight history as well.

He defintely has the highest BER (Boxer Efficency Rating) in ALL of boxing history in all of the weight classes.

After reading this & you STILL don't know who the most dominant & strongest fighter in boxing history is.....you better recognize... ALL of these achievements
are his & his alone... no bs!

Wouldn't it have made more sense to just cruise the last couple of rounds and get the victory maybe he couldn't deal with the pain cos he wasn't on steoroids like he used to be. If the Lewis fight continued VK would probably not be able to fight again.

vitali lost to byrd and lewis. if you cannot continue to fight you are knocked out if there is no foul.

you're not giving lewis credit for destroying the entire area around vitali's eye?

he had between five and ten cuts. some of them joined together by the end of the fight
more than one cut on the same eyelid
and the nastiest cut caused by a punch i've ever seen over his eye on the brow.
few men in history could have caused that much damage to a gigantic man's with eye with only a few punches

                      that's a stoppage, dude
that "injury" was caused by a clean punch from a hall of famer

it's almost as bad as the "morales beats maidana if his eye wasnt swollen" argument

morales would beat maidana if chino handed him daisies instead of punching him in the grill

But in the boxing match that took place, where guys hit eachother and cause damage, morales eye was swollen shut from clean, legal punches.

we cant get confused between the emotional winner of the event
or the guy of whom we are more proud (vitali, morales)
and the guy who won the fight (lewis, chino)
