Vitali was getting the best of Lennox Lewis & if NOT for a dirty punch (hitting & holding is what caused the cut.. not some spectacular Lewis bomb as most erroneously portray) & not for a quack doctor at ringside giving Lennox a W he didn't earn. I could care less about cosmetics...it's Lewis who should've been the one Tko'ed & gone away with the loss,, Vitali earned that W..I DON'T care what anone says & it was him that wanted to go on & continue rd 7...not Lennox who retired rather than to go to rd 7... Ask any dr. in the medical profession that cuts along the eye & above the eyelid can be classified as an eye injury. Go read the opthalmalogist's guide to eye health. Eye injuries happen all the time. No eye injury & shoulder injury to Vitali along with knee & back injuries that caused retirement for 4 years & this is is Vitali Klitschko's pofficial record>>> 52-0 48 KO'S... All i remember is a Vitali STRUGGLED against a overweight, unconditioned, OLD, grey bearded, lennox lewis, who had been out the ring for nearly a year and took the fight on short notice.

I remember towards the later round Vitali getting rocked by some blistering hard punches and his legs shaking and he held on.

Now if he had gone up against a younger/fit lennox he would not have survived 3 rounds. Th fact that a old fat lennox lewis could do that much damamge to him proves Vitali is overrated.

to be honest i consider the byrd a legit win too.

most people that talk about that fight didn't actually watch it, they just follow the ban wagon of whats seen as the truth. byrd was making vitali miss a ton of shots while countering him with shots of his own.....thats what through vitalis arm out. (missed shots)

It's safe to say he would have beaten Byrd without the injury, he would have beaten Byrd if he continued to fight on with his injury. Byrd was way down on the cards and did not have the power to knock Vitali out.

it's not safe to say because thats not how boxing works.......you have to actually FINISH the fight. boxing does not work this way.

BYRD MADE VITALI MISS SHOTS WHICH CAUSED HIS ARM INJURY ( i don't even remember if there was a official dr. report on the so called injury so who knows about that one) it wasn't just the arm ether. vitali was dead tired & looked as if he wanted to faint because he blew his energy....who knows what would have happen with a vitali running on 0 STAMINA (because of byrds STYLE) i give byrd all the props. Dude... you called me on the fact eye cuts & lacerations CAN't be classified as injuries when indeed they can & yes It's just VITALI because it's just Vitali that WENT OUT LIKE THAT WITH 2 losses due to controversial stoppages while winning his fights handily before it got stopped. Just because there's more haters on this site than realists of the Klitschko dominance DOES NOT make them right & us wrong... they just do the ole' gang up on the Klitschko fan... that's fine because I WILL keep on taking them to school until each & every one of them come around!
