You realize most members here are under 30 right?

Hell there are a good amount of under 21 boxing fans here.

The only MMA fighter I give props to is Anderson Silva.. That guy can just flat out fight.

What really chaps my hide (lol) about MMA is the dumb fans. You get drunk dumbasses stating that we are old school because we watch boxing and that MMA is the new boxing.. I'm like whatever you pansy douche shirt wearing ****. Boxing is a grown man's sport, MMA isn't even out of its pampers yet.

Just because you don't like boxing don't put it down. I still refuse to go watch MMA events at places because of this. Who wants to sip on a beer and watch two dudes dry hump each other for five minutes at a time.. Then you have the two brawlers throwing amateurish punches at each other that makes any Golden Glove kid wince at how ugly they look. Basically MMA is built on mismatches, they don't have two guys on a regular basis that can tactfully fight a whole fight without being in that "gay" ass position on the floor.

ha ha ha blame that on sylvias ego being bigger than his chin. the story of that goes like this...it was meant to be a gentlemans agreement for no kicks. what sylvia should have done is A take him down or B box him (if he was feeling suicidal). instead they come out and sylvia throws a kick. mercer lols and knocks him the **** out.

im yet to see the magic punch beat a takedown

You know I did. I expected Lopez to get in trouble but pull it out really. I knew Salido deserved to be there though. Gamboa bodies them both right nnow. Too slow. He had a rough go with Salido too but its one sided in a rematch.

There will be very few exceptions. The champions at this moment in MMA are much better than those from that time. I dont know how long you've been watching MMA but I've watched since royce was beating 300 pounders and this a real golden age on a fairly young sport. The average guy just like in boxing doesnt stumble on a championship these days.

It was gonna be a boxing match, but on the last minute they switched it to an MMA fight and Sylvia said **** like "he's in my world" only to get KTFO.

As far as the magic punch goes, we've yet to see a prime boxer fight MMA as well.

mma is 20 years old in its current form

thats why i hit that number

as for the wrestling hate...i kinda understand it as it seems more like restraint than fighting.

if it leads to gnp or a sub fair enough but i miss the old rules where it was ok to soccer kick someone who missed a takedown.

you cant even kick them if they are on one knee touching the gorund now.

i think maybe it is marketed at wrestling fans who got too old. plus america has a lot of out of work amatuer stars.

ufc certainly seems to cater to its homegrown audience.

wrestling is undoubtedly part of fighting but unless it goes somewhere it is really just restraint.

Its some more great champs out there. You got Nick Diaz, Jon Jones, GSP, Velasquez, Dan Henderson legend and a couple more top tier guys but you really have to dedicate youself to it like boxing. Nobody's catching those guys slippin. Now Diaz is an idiot if he thinks he can win a boxing championship with that boxing style.

In terms of WW and MW yeah, but the other weight classes, especially HW and LHW are always switching belt holders, no one can hold on to that **** past like 2-3 fights lol
