    MMA and Boxing

    great night of fights tonight ...on the american side of the pond anyways.

    i want to know what ppl think about both sports. the percentages are whats interesting but feel free to leave comments.

    im assuming everyone here is a boxing fan and so am i

    i do prefer mma but im not sectarian about it.

    i like both and i find it hard to watch most other combat sports

    everyones opinion is welcome

              i like MMA too, been watching for almost 10 years, but I'll put it to you this way.

              Just tonight, Ortiz vs. Berto was a better fight than any MMA fight I've ever seen. And Ortiz vs. Berto probably doesn't crack the top 100 of the greatest boxing matches of all time. Boxing, at an elite level can't be topped IMO

                  MMA is more successful because they do it right. They MAKE the top fighters in each division fight each other,

                              it was a great fight (even tho it ruined my parlay).

                              im not gonna throw a counter point. to each their own.

                              i used to hate watching jits cos i am not gay and it looked gay. i know thats wrong, but **** it. im in an honest mood. i felt the same about wrestling. and the striking in mma is sub par.

                              however..all in fighting is interesting when you understand it. i like predicting how it will go and although i now still hate wrestling as boring, the jits and gnp is interesting.

                              i dont see the sports as competitors as they have different plus points.

                              mma is kinda like a triathalon of combat sports
