Cotto, Clottey, Margarito will turn Berto into a banana. Can you imagine Floyd cherrypicking these guys even at this point in their careers, let alone Berto? Look at some of who lil Floyd and Berto cherrypicks: Matthew Hatton, Malignaggi, Spadafora, Hernandez, Quintana, Urango, etc. Berto thought he could take on someone who's been fighting in a lighter division like Ortiz. Can you even imagine one of these cherrypicks fighting the likes of Margarito?

Look at your new idol Sergio Martinez. He can't even cherrypick Margarito. A fight which would bring him millions of dollars in his pocket. He's not interested in avenging his loss apparently. No matter how you spin it, ie, a garbage fight, etc, it is PPV material.

Everyone knew Berto stood no chance against Pacquiao, but he fit the bill of what people complain about Pacquiao not fighting, young, fast, undefeated. I do find it funny that two of the three punches Ortiz killed Berto with most were the straight left and right hook, which Pacquiao loves to throw.

I have yet to see anyone on here say Berto was a slick African American fighter. I've seen people say Pac should of fought Berto instead of Mosley, but to say Berto is a slick fighter is kinda reaching man. Berto is nothing but a fighter that was protected and should of been developing as a better fighter by facing top competition, but he chose to face fighters coming up in weight and cab drivers. Thus not allowing him to develop and when he finally did face someone decent in Ortiz he got beat.

So you have no problem with Floyd not fighting Cotto or Marg. Before they fought each other they didn't anybody.

Cotto earned a shot against Floyd by beating Mosley and Judah. Those were solid wins at WW.

I have never said he should have chosen him over Ricky Hatton, as the Hatton fight made sense, rather he should have faced Cotto after the Oscar fight instead of retiring. TBH it really doesn't matter, because I could care less about Floyd's career. I only respond to these question because everyone constantly ask my opinion on topics like this......in which I just state how I feel about it and keep it moving.
