Look, this is a fact: If Gamboa was to fight in Miami, he would sell out any arena, no matter the number of seats available. Of course I'm not talking about huge football fields with 50 000+ capacity. But as Cuban said, Gamboa is currently the only boxer everyone in Miami knows. Even old people have heard his name because of the hype going on with the younger people following him. Gamboa in Miami would be a huge azz event. As Cuban mentionned, there's something wrong with Bob's attitude, maybe it has something to do with him not wanting Gamboa to get extremely popular? The only reason I'm saying this is because Gamboa's contract with Top Rank is about to get obsolete and maybe there's friction right now between them. Same situation as Donaire, Bob had a diamond and he didn't do shiet to promote him. Explain me something, how the *** are you going to have a fighter like Yuri, who's considered by many fans as the most exciting boxer alive, and make him fight only twice a year?

Gamboa only wants to fight the bests...aka Chris John and Juanma, it's the only two names he mentions when you force him to give names. He doesn't care about those B class fighters... Yet Arum doesn't provide. He says he wants to build him... by doing what? Letting him fight only 2x/year against lesser opposition, yeah right...

he might make some, but it aint a lot. more importantly, i don't think he makes a lot for everyone involved. if there's nothing else going on at the bank atlantic, why not have a show on hbo?

don lives in WPB so he has all the connections down here. he has a gym in deerfield. he's always around. this is king's backyard

arum being set in his ways was the last part of my post. he's married to vegas....then the island and then its about $.

cuz bob's not gonna get the site fee he wants here. that's it. he would if he had even made the slightest attempt to build gamboa. same thing he did with donaire. he just put those dudes on the backburner and didn't even try to promote them

bro gamboa would doubt or triple his new york attendance in miami that is a fact , noone can tellme that he does better in ny than in miami is common sense. When i went to nj maybe about 20% of the people were cuban i talked to a bunch of them and a lot of them were coming from the florida area specially tampa and miami

He has done shows in Flordia, Ft Laduerdale i think with Gamboa

Its like a 30 min drive from Miami to Ft Lauderdale, so if he couldnt get fans there, it wont work out in Miami

Arum is letting him fight in Boxing areas, Like AC and MSG and Las Vegas

There's no question, Gamboa is on the short list of most exciting active fighters. His style continues to attract new fans. Yuri turns thirty at the end of the year. Gamboa must be allowed to show his stuff against the big boys sooner, rather than later; otherwise, he would be well advised to seek a new promoter. But that includes Ahmet Oner, as well. Oner has gone on record saying that HBO isn't offering enough money to make a Gamboa-Lopez date happen. What to do?

Well why is gamboa not fighting in miami then?If those fans would support
him,They would have more events over there. He could be fighting in
miami in august,Yet he isnt.Cuban fans dont support him.

that my whole point, arum doesnt want to build him up. they have never done a show in miami so how can you tell me they dont support them when to begin with they have never done a show there. Thats the whole point man , arum is blackballing him or something i dunno wtf is up but it makes no sense at all. Odlanier Solis for god's sake drew 7 1/2 k people to his fight with austin in miami what does that tell you. The thing is this if they are not even trying to do a show there that tells me a lot. like i said there is a lot to gain and nothing to lose.
