Look, this is a fact: If Gamboa was to fight in Miami, he would sell out any arena, no matter the number of seats available. Of course I'm not talking about huge football fields with 50 000+ capacity. But as Cuban said, Gamboa is currently the only boxer everyone in Miami knows. Even old people have heard his name because of the hype going on with the younger people following him. Gamboa in Miami would be a huge azz event. As Cuban mentionned, there's something wrong with Bob's attitude, maybe it has something to do with him not wanting Gamboa to get extremely popular? The only reason I'm saying this is because Gamboa's contract with Top Rank is about to get obsolete and maybe there's friction right now between them. Same situation as Donaire, Bob had a diamond and he didn't do shiet to promote him. Explain me something, how the *** are you going to have a fighter like Yuri, who's considered by many fans as the most exciting boxer alive, and make him fight only twice a year?
Gamboa only wants to fight the bests...aka Chris John and Juanma, it's the only two names he mentions when you force him to give names. He doesn't care about those B class fighters... Yet Arum doesn't provide. He says he wants to build him... by doing what? Letting him fight only 2x/year against lesser opposition, yeah right...
