Miami as a whole sucks as fans,They dont support there
nfl,mlb teams good. They only support the heat,But i think we know why.
In response to the bold, please see my first post on this thread.

As for Miami fans "sucking," I can only speak on baseball. For many years, the Florida baseball teams have relied on New York transplants. I know that Yankee caps are a common sight in many states, but I've heard many times how Yankee fans outnumber Rays fans in Tampa, for instance.

in cuba all the sporting events are always packed bro, you need to understand the difference of the cubans that came in the 60's than the ones that came in the 90's and 00's. the high people in cuba they never like boxing it was too brutal for them they looked at it as a sport of animals, most of the ones that came in the 60's are from that demographic so when you are talking about 1.2 mil is really 500k that even fall under that umbrella. The ones that came in the 60's are completely distanced from all that, all the cubans that show up to fights and support boxing are the working class that came in the 90's and 00's you know the average people. I have family that came in the 670's from my moms side none of them know who gamboa is or any boxer. from my dad's side though we all came in the 90's and 00's and most of us follow boxing and gamboa. the ones from the 60's are completely disconnected they are more worried about who is the starting safety for the canes even though they suck

It doesn't even have to be Miami. Around the Orlando area there's a huge Puerto Rican population and a sizable Cuban population too. it doesn't hurt to at least try it out with a smaller fight. I don't ever see Top Rank do fights in florida so how would he know.

The Dolphins and the Bucs have good fans to me it seems. The Heat fans suck. They dont even show up to games in the regular season.

It's about a four hour drive between Orlando and Miami. It makes the most sense to hold fights in Florida when there's a Puerto Rican, a Cuban, or any other Caribbean or South American star involved. (Mexicans can get support almost anywhere.) Virtually every Spanish-speaking nationality gravitates towards the "Sunshine State." Also, there's no state or city taxes in Florida. Sounds very attractive....

I'll tell you what's up since I live here and attend boxing shows.

Casino venues for FNF level shows here are the shi t. The crowds are into it, there's all kinds of hispanics down here that go and a couple whities and black folk. There's tons of gyms around and people like boxing.

the Miko, Hard Rock- great place to watch fights.

All the big fights down here since Roy-Glen Kelly (the infamous behind the back KO) have been in the Bank Atlantic at Sunrise and were done by Don King. AND HIS SHOWS SUUUUUUUCK. I've been to plenty of them and they're terrible. The arena is set up all wrong, there's too much time between cards. There's obstructions, no hype, no music, very very little local buzz. they give away half the tickets. The experience is just bland. He did the freaking Campbell-Funeka show on Valentines DAy for chrissake (I was one of the few dudes dumb enough to foce my old lady to go, now I catch shi t every year since)

If Bob actually tried to build a cuban fighter here, he would do great. But bob is married to Vegas- we all know that, his next best girlfriend is puerto rico, and after that he just looks to get greased by whatever venue is willing to give him the biggest site fee. well it aint coming from here cuz king's shows make no dough.

Interesting. Don King's shows "make no dough," yet he still stages cards in Florida? King may be many things, but he's no dummy. I'm sure that old rattlesnake is making money. If King can pull a profit in Florida, I'm sure Arum can do the same. Is it possible that Bob is just set in his ways?

I'm not among them, as I simply don't have enough knowledge on the subject. But you didn't mention any professional teams in your post.
