Oscar and Floyd have more control of their money than Quac...

They didn't just settle for what Arum gave them...

They took initiative and control of their OWN careers.

    Bravo to them.
That only shows Pac is really not after the money. It shows money is not that important to him (unlike someone I know of). He has numerous endorsements outside of boxing anyway.

And, if he allows Arum to get away with it (because Oscar and Floyd won't do that), I guess it's his decision. And he's not much concerned about that after all. The guy is just simply generous at heart. You need to live with it.

But people who feel so offended by certain fights should definitely not pay or better yet, not even watch the fight at all.

We all want great boxers to always be great. However, we should know from past Greats that that's not always possible. Great fighters also take easy fights and even take a break from the sport entirely. It would be amazing for Pacquiao and his legacy to yo-yo up and down weight classes.

      "Drop to 135 for JMM."

"Go to 154 and take on Sergio."

"Move back down to 147 and fight Berto."

We all want to witness those scenarios (in any order). But maybe we're all stuck on the Manny that jumps weights from years past and don't want to notice that maybe Pac doesn't want to jump up and down the scales anymore.
He has reached the pinnacle of the sport and has made sacrifices and given up advantages to opponents in plenty of his prior fights.

Pacquiao has taken fights on late notice, fights with a more experienced opponent, fights where he was out-skilled, fights where he was the considerably smaller man, has lost multiple times, and yet kept going. Manny made the same sacrifices and gave up advantages for the right opportunities just like every other boxer.

JMM is well aware of these same sacrifices and advantages that a boxer gives up in the sport and business of Boxing. And as with most business, not everything is fair. If he doesn't want the money, then he can stay where he is. Nothing wrong with that. If he does, then he'll have to consider sacrifices that every other boxer would kill to make. The same sacrifices that Pacquiao has made.

      Fight or flight.
I just want to repost this. If people can't understand this post then either they're dumb or they're too proud to admit that what this poster is saying is true.

he will be destroyed this time
Scared of what? taking the test, or beating and ripping Manny to shreads?
You functioning ******z crack me up, Bob has you idiots by the nuts and you love it lol..
"Floyd is the number one priority" ?????
Now it's "JMM is next"???? WHY?

All Manny has to do is take the test all the way to fight night, like TR and the Turdz says he's willing to do.

And Bob needs to quit 42 faking with the BULLSHYT number$.

At what point are you idiots gonna see it's a plan, a plan to get as many fights out of Manny till judgment day?

After Cotto Manny was supposed to fight Floyd, what happend?
-Floyd asked for a drug test, Manny/TR balked and walked away-
Blame Floyd and the test (yea it was Floyds fault for asking for them both to take better drug test I admit), 42 fake number 1

One day after Clottey/Manny was made?

Marg The Mason gives an interview 6 months before saying "Bob promised him Manny"
And what happens after the Clottey "Fix"?
The count down clock?, Take our no drug test fight or else.. 42 fake number 2

HBO, Bob and Al go back and forth about 0 days, Bob screams "Floyd dont want the fight" but never gives any details, he just has the head of HBO confirm talks were held. Ofcourse they were, but what were the details? Did TR agree to ALL the drug terms?
        42 fake number 3

        Here comes Shane!!!!!
And for good measure lets put it out there that Floyd wants 100 mill, just incase people ask why Mannys not fighting him after Shane.... It's called preventive maint.

How many excuses will they come up with?

        • I have a feeling JMM is REALLY lose w/o a controversy at a higher weight. Pac is just trying to fight bigger name now to cement his career. I wish he fights more younger guys after JMM. It's kind of boring w/o new blood.

Signing a fight against mosley proves otherwise, that fight has got no meaning what so ever not even pac fans wanted to see that shi**y fight,it is clearly all about money and bob arum is calling the shots in this one..pac knows that the last few fights were tailor made for him and that's why he's with top rank still..how many of his last opponents were damaged goods signed also by top rank???? He knows no other promoter could make him look this good..but most do not understand the game those bastards are playing,it's a disgrace to boxing.

              • [QUOTE=LeadUppercut;10380641]I agree, good post.

The point is, this will not be a " trilogy fight ", and it will not determine once-and-for-all, who is the best..... because Marquez is a career-featherweight, the rematch should have happened at 130.

At 135, you could be right, Marquez has now adapted to lightweight, but Manny should not be expected to go that low for Marquez.

At 140, the fight makes more sense, even though Manny will probably be too much for JMM at this point in time.

But Manny insisting upon 147, is an outright cherry-picking b1tch-move, just like it says here.....

                Manny never insisted 147.

Manny have said several times this month alone that he could easily make 140

Arum insisted on 147 but Manny never said it. Arum will always demand for an advantage or use 147 as leverage for negotiations especially the way GBP priced JMM out in Manny's last fight

Man, before you answered my post, you should know where it came from. It was a response to another post talking about Manny being dumb because he allowed Arum to get 30% of the profit.

I'm just saying here, he isn't dumb because he simply doesn't care of making more and more profit. What's important is that he makes one which could help his future more secure.

Secondly, you're saying many of Pac's opponents were damaged goods, just because he beat them all. Hatton was a world champion at 140lbs. He just tkoed Malignaggi at 140 before fighting Pacquiao. If Cotto was a damaged good, he won't be a world champion today. I don't think Clottey was a damaged good either, he just simply couldn't make any opening because Pac was faster. That's the same with Margarito, he was caught by a fast strong straight left at his face, that's why he was bothered the rest of the fight, but he was still strong when he hurt Pacquiao in round 6.

Problem with you is that you don't want to give credit where credit is due.

                    • So Juan chases Manny all around the world demanding a 3rd fight. Manny waits until he gets old, and wants him to move to a weight where he wont be competetive. **** you Manny.
