Because last I heard, Mayweather said if you want to negotiate with him, you have to talk to Haymon/Ellerbe. Bob Arum has been talking to everyone BUT Haymon or Ellerbe. He talks to Don King, he talked to Schafer but they beefed so that's done, he talked to Ross Greenberg. He talks to every one except for the guys that matter.

All I really want is, other than May vs Pac of course, if Bob Arum can't get a fight with Floyd because of their differences with Floyd's people, then fine, I can deal with that, it's a business but there's a feud that can't be reconciled, fine. But at least put his little dog on a leash, Manny Pacquiao, on going around saying he accepted Floyds requests but that Floyd doesn't want to fight. When we all know very well Arum, Haymon and Ellerbe haven't even talked for a while about negotiations. It's all been Team Pac talking, Koncz, Arum, Roach, always Team Pac making things up, talking for Floyd. Just stop it, do your thing and shut up, stop mentioning Floyd all the time if your people are not even contacting his people.

Pac: I agree to take the test, but i already have another fight sign.

Days after his fight: Floyd doesn't want to fight. Then Team Pacquiao announce his next fight.

It's funny how Arum went through so much time and trouble to made the Margarito fight, but they can't even have the patient to negotiate the biggest fight of this era simply because of OST.

So should Pac just go on vacation while they try to sort this out?

That wouldn't be a bad thing to do, it'll give them enough time to negotiate everything needed to make the fight happen. Instead of that, we get to hear team Pacquiao announcing their next fight just days after their previous one. Then, we get to hear how Floyd doesn't want to fight, yadayadayada...

Anyways a JMM fight only means something at 135. That's it, that is the only weight-class where it would absolutely mean anything for Pac legacy.
            I agree, good post.

The point is, this will not be a " trilogy fight ", and it will not determine once-and-for-all, who is the best..... because Marquez is a career-featherweight, the rematch should have happened at 130.

At 135, you could be right, Marquez has now adapted to lightweight, but Manny should not be expected to go that low for Marquez.

At 140, the fight makes more sense, even though Manny will probably be too much for JMM at this point in time.

But Manny insisting upon 147, is an outright cherry-picking b1tch-move, just like it says here.....

"However, this fight only makes sense to me if it takes place at junior welterweight (and I would hope Marquez would weigh-in under 140 pounds). Why Pacquiao and company refuse to even consider fighting Marquez at 140 pounds (instead of the 144 or 147 they stipulate) is a very good question. The answer is obvious: they want every conceivable advantage against their aging but still-dangerous nemesis.".....

Call me crazy, but they've invented these things called cell phones...they're amazing. Email too (you send them on this thing called a computer--you can even send them via cell phone!). And there's an older invention called the fax machine. They aren't too shabby either.

Bottomline, stop using that dumbass "vacation" excuse. Floyd was on vacay when he made the fight with Mosley. So obviously that doesn't stop anything. We all know what's stopping this.

His intelligence is not in the ability to understand the whole thing, but simply bits and pieces of the whole thing. His intelligence lies in the ability to simply perform things. He learns best when he does something physical, rather than by reading or hearing about it.

That's why I believe what Arum gives him, he will fight against that opponent, whether it's Mosley, Berto, Marquez or Mayweather. He doesn't choose any of them...as long as he is convinced that he can gain something out of it, he will fight anybody. However, I don't think he will fight those that are not competitive to him. any thing that will excite his fans and that can make him perform well competitively, he will do it. He is basically an entertainer/performer at heart.

Some people simply don't see the way you see it. I hope you can live with that.
That is a ridiculous nut-hugging fanboy viewpoint, and completely incorrect.

Top Rank CEO Bob Arum makes it clear that a fight between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley is not a done deal, at least not yet. Mosley is among the three candid

Why does Pacquiao have to lose weight if Marquez can fight tremendously weighing 145, like the Katsidis fight....

Why does Pacquiao have to go down to a weighclass he's not being in years, with Marquez being able to make 145 pounds ??

                  You're not being reasonable !!
                  Stop being so ****** kid.

Jro is being reasonable, he just understands boxing a lot better than you do.

TIP: Don't mention fight-night weight when discussing boxing with an adult, because they will not take you seriously.

Boxing uses weight divisions for a reason kid.

Floyd wanted Pacs leftovers in JMM, and now Pac wants floyds leftover in JMM?

But this is what happens when you run out of opponents, and all Pac wants is Floyd.
