Funny it's now 2007, and Hatton is still saying "next year," when this article was written in 2005.

Mayweather would eat up Hatton if they fought. Oscar would knock out Hatton with no problem. Cotto would beat Hatton too. Castillo is going to beat him 12.

I think it's safe to say at this point that Hatton was not exactly truthful about wanting to fight Mayweather "next year" 2-3 years ago.

This fight could have happened a year ago. But Hatton said he needs to settle down first, at least two more fights. Now that PBF has announce retirement after the DLH fight, Hatton is saying it needs to happen.
