So if he seperates them immediately Mayweather wins, if he doesn't Hatton wins, is that how you see it?

Agree with you there CVT. No WWE reffing here. But if they let Hatton rough house Mayweather, mayweathers smart enough to keep Hatton at bay.

C'mon guys!... This sport isn't a tickling contest, stop being such a bunch of softies!

So long as you're not doing any illigal moves (i.e. head butting, or twisting arms etc), then roughing up another fighter is a tactic... And a very affective one at that!

These guys are professional fighters, and they know that they're gonna get hurt in the ring sooner or later. If you're not prepared to fight a fighter that likes to use agressive rough-housing tactics then you picked the wrong sport to be in! If Mayweather is as skillfull as he keeps telling us all, then he should easily be able to stop Ricky Hatton fighting Ricky Hatton's fight.

Well, Martin, now if Mayweather goes to do something else between now and next year, don't go saying he's ducking Hatton.

I won't... It looks like next summer will be the big fight!

However it would be nice to see Mayweather in the ring with someone half decent between now and then... That 2nd Castillo fight was way back in 2002' and we've not seen Mayweather in the ring with a World stage fighter since then... I'm begining to forget how well Mayweather is able to deal with a quality opponent.

actually i'd want to see how mayweather deals with real B-hops rough housing...lol. i'm taling spins, hitting after the break, glove on the face..the whole deal (of except for the rabbit punches and low blows..those aren't cool...lol). but again like i said it all comes dowen to the ref...is the ref the kind to separate and restart at the middle of the ring or the kind to let two fighters fight it out of a clinch.

and lets not get all soft of mayweather....i've seen him pull a few tricks as well (spining, shoulder puching and punching, elbow push, holding head down while uppercut opposite of ref)...he's a crafty little devil.

The one thing I don't like Mayweather doing in the ring is when he has his left glove pressed against his chin and he points his elbow at the other fighter. I've seen him do that quite a few times but granted, the ref usually says "stop doing that!" pretty quickly.

I worry that Hatton will come forward really fast and walk right into that elbow... And there's a high risk chance that he'll get cut bad because of it.
