Martinez was also a jr middleweight & he went up to fight Williams 2 times & Pavlik..When he beat Pavlik he had both, the jr Middle & the Middleweight WBC world titles at the same time!! He decided to stay with the middleweight title before he was wronly stripped... & Ishida's last fight(against Kirkland) was at middleweight & Ishida has fought at middleweight before saturday's fight..So when it comes to the weight, there's NO advantage for Martinez...

Ishida and Kirkland fought at MW range and the point is, neither of them are any more deserving than the otherComment

. My bad, I didnt fully grasp how much of an idiot you are. You can carry on. Its always nice to clearly identify who to pay attention to around here and who to just let ramble on in a cornersorry goat farmers from kazakhistan don't count as legit opponents. neither do japanese fishermen.
everybody knows dibella refuses to put sergio in with a legit opponent because sergio keeps his hands low like a n00b. he needs to hire a professional trainer to teach him a proper boxing stance. otherwise that lance armstrong wannabe should just ride bicycles full-time and sign up for the Tour de Gay.Comment

ishida had all of his fights at 154 or below. kirkland is a junior middleweight who wasn't even in shape and just got out of prison. how is that better than beating a true middleweight prospect in a title fight?Comment

People wanted Kirkland to be next in line to fight Martinez, and this is his third fight. I'd say he's in plenty of shape. People were saying that Martinez is ducking Kirkland.
Ultimately, I don't have a problem with Pirog and Martinez. However I do have a problem with people immediately discrediting Ishida when both of them have achieved pretty much the same level of notoriety.
And stylistically, I think Ishida will be tougher than Pirog. Also, Martinez has had a majority of his fights at 154 and below and the size disparity will be minimalComment

yea his third fight in a 5 weeks. he was still clearly flabby. if peter mcneeley beat tyson coming out of prison would mcneeley be a top heavyweight?People wanted Kirkland to be next in line to fight Martinez, and this is his third fight. U really need to check u'r info before posting, cause Ishida's fight against Kirkland was his 7th fight at the middleweight division..& there's NO fight below the jr middleweight division in Ishida's record(All his fights are at jr middle or middleweight) ¿& Kirkland out of shape? That was Kirkland's 3'rd fight since he got out of prison & it wasn't like he fought as soon as he got out, he trained 1st then fought..So he was in shape, the only difference is that now he's campaigning at middleweight..¿Why is it so hard for u to see this?Comment
