I think it'll be competitive for a bit before Sergio bombards him
Ishida fought really well in that fight. He has some skill. He blew Kirkland out the box in 1 round. Kirkland was known for rolling over fighters and Ishida thrashed him. Even if Cortez let Kirkland up he would have still been getting knocked down. I'm impressed by Ishida.

So Paul Williams 2x, Kelly Pavlik and Sergei Dzindurik were goat hearders and fishermen?

            .
Come on son, Pirog is 30 years old and has beat decent opposition and he had over 230 amateur fights. He's not green just because he's had 20 pro fights. He's been boxing his whole life.

There are other fighters I would rather see Martinez fight other than Ishida or Manfredo, like Pirog, Strum, Sylvester or Guerrero(just to mention a few), but if it's a choice between Ishida or Manfredo(Even thou, I'm pretty sure Martinez will annihilate both of them)..I would rather see Martinez fight Ishida cause Ishida just finished annihilating Kirkland in the 1st round!! Kirkland was considered a BEAST & a serious challenge for Martinez!! I know Ishida lost to some unknowns in Japan & lost to also unknown(as a fighter)Rigoberto Alvarez(by split decision) in Mexico in a title fight..(Rigoberto is better known for being Saul"Canelo"Alvarez's brother than for being a fighter or even a title holder!) But with the stunt Ishida pulled in his last fight, Ishida deserves more of a shot at Martinez than Manfredo..& anyway all the times Manfredo has stepped up to fight better or top quality fighters, he's ALWAYS LOST!!! Manfredo even lost to a BLOWN UP Alfonso Gomez at middleweight, when Gomez is actually a welter & ain't even that good of a fighter!! & in Manfredo's last few fights he hasn't beaten any ranked fighters or fighter's of any interest to deserve a shot at the title...

Ishida is a Japanese cab driver, with 6 loses dude. The guy got lucky that Kirkland didnt prepare. How the hell is he more deserving than Rubio or Pirog.

What happend to, not fighting no hopers and taking on the toughest challenges??/

Martinez fighting Ishida and not Pirog is a complete and utter travesty!!!!!
Here brother, here is something that should be easy enough for all to see the trend. Perhaps even you can connect the dots

--Pirog is a nobody, he was put in against Jacobs to lose. He ended up winning

--Rubio is a gatekeeper, he was put in against Lemieux to lose. He ended up winning

--Ishida is a nobody, he was put in against Kirkland to lose. He ended up winning

All three guys were only supposed to show up to collect a paycheck and get KTFO. All three guys won the fights they weren't supposed to. Out of all three fighters, Ishida beat the best prospect/better fighter, in the most impressive fashion. That is undeniable. I don't know where my contradictions are at. Either way, all of those guys ended up where they did with similar backdrops. They are not any more deserving than Ishida.

Also...since when does 6 losses mean that someone is less of a fighter? I guess that Shane Mosley with 6 losses makes him some cabby, or Rubio with 5 losses. How about that Morales chump...he's got 7 losses.

no way in hell a japanese fisherman is a legit opponent after fighting ukranian goat farmers. but no point arguing with sergio***uals.

if sergio literally fought a punching bag they would still try to justify it.

I'd say he's green in the pro game. Rigo has like some 300-400 amateur fights, but is still green in my eyes in the pro game. I think Pirog is a decent fighter, however I won't say that he's a world beater and any more deserving of a title shot over Ishida. The only reason we talk about Pirog is because he beat Jacobs. The only reason we know who Ishida is, is because he beat Kirkland.

                    I think Kirkland>Jacobs

And for that reason, I see no reason to trash Ishida and say he is not more deserving than Pirog for the MW title

Either way, Ishida or Manfredo are better fights than those guys you mentioned.
so you think ishida who is a junior middleweight, just beat a junior middleweight prospect who got out of prison, is not even in the top 10 and has 5 losses is better than pirog who is a middleweight, beat a middleweight prospect, is in the top 10 and is undefeated? got it!
