My 2 issues with Sergio are this...

1.) He has only 2 good wins to his resume. Now what he did to PWill in the rematch was a thing of beauty and Pavlik was a good win but lets get things strait, 2 good wins doesn't make them the best in the world. I like him, I like his style but remember, hes 3-1-1 in his last 5 fights yet people are claiming he should be p4p #1 because of two wins.

2.) He became a hipocrite when he said he hated catch-weight fights...then he fought in one (granted opponent requested) and now he's basically asking for catch-weight fights with Floyd and Pac. Oh yea, he also blamed Pac for fighting left-overs...yet he wants a fight with Cotto.

I like Sergio but too much bandwagoning is going on IMO.

I don't see you making ridiculous comments about Martinez so I don't have a problem there. And Larry, I don't mean just you, it's just an example of the Sergio craziness that is sweeping this place right now. People will react viciously to that. When it calms down, if it calms down, there won't be so much hate.

Why am I not surprised that NO ONE in this thread so far gave the real sensible reason to answer Larry's question...

The reason why Sergio get's flack is because he suddenly transformed to a hypocrite.

First he says he won't fight Pac because he's too small.

Then all of a sudden he realizes what time it is and he suddenly became all about the benjamins and begins calling out Pac to the point of saying stuff unlikely of Sergio to say himself, the catchweights and all . (Don't ask me links, search it yourself mofos). To be fair with Floyd, IMO he always said before he wanted to fight him.

Sergio want's a payday, it's all good for the bloke.

However, with all his flip-floppin' lately, he's gonna be mentioned in the future in the same breath as Dela Hoya.

Boxing is how he makes a living, the only people truly upset with Martinez wanting to fight Pacquiao and Mayweather are people who don't want to see them lose. Of course Martinez wants to fight them, he would make a sh**load of money. Everyone wants to fight Pacquiao and Mayweather. Can't be mad at Sergio for that.

I'd rather he fought Sturm or Pirog at middleweight and unify, as unprofitable as those fights are. He's not going to get the money fights so he should unify 160. He can't make the same mistake Williams did for years where he chased money rather than unify his division and force big fights.
