Also, why would u need to sue over something u claim to think is funny?

Honestly, do u know how difficult it for Pac to win this case? It wont be easy. Libel/Slander is very hard to prove. Also, how do u prove that your reputation has been harmed, when u have more endorsements than b4, more positive news coverage and you've even met the President since then. Even if he won, financial compensation for damages would be tied to how much he potentially lost because of those comments. Pac can't show the he has lost one dime because of what FMJ, GB or FMSr have said. Punative damages? Well, we will have to see about that one. First he's got to win.

    Info on proving Slander:

    Libel and Slander Claims
Libel and slander are both personal injury claims that are made when false statements, represented as fact, are made about a person via word of mouth, printed materials or broadcasts. Slander is the more difficult of the two to prove, as it refers to false statements that are spoken, or gestures, that are not recorded, written or documented in a permanent way. Libel refers to false statements, pictures, recordings or broadcasts made about a person. Both of these personal injury claims are often referred to as defamation.

    Defamation

Defamation refers to the damages caused by libel or slander. In order for there to be defamation, a person's character or reputation must have suffered harm as a result of the false statements that were made about them. The false statements must have been communicated to another person or group of people and specifically about the person who files the claim. Statements that are simply rude or generally insulting are not considered defamation. The false statements must have been made through the fault of the defendant. With private citizens, there generally only needs to be proof that the defendant was negligent in making the damaging false statements. However, with celebrities or public officials, there is usually a greater burden of proof and the person filing the defamation lawsuit must prove that the defendant knew that the information was false and that they acted with malice in making the false statements.
    Legal Defense for Defamation

The perfect legal defense to slander or libel claims is that the statements made are true.

Another strong defense to defamation claims is one there can be no damage to a person's good reputation and character if they have no character to damage and an already poor reputation.

Pacs history of adultery doesn't help his case when it comes to character.

    Burden of Proof

As with all civil lawsuits, in libel and slander cases the burden of proof lies with the plaintiff. If the proof of defamation is made, a plaintiff may collect financial compensation for damages and in some cases may also be awarded punitive damages. Appeals may be made on the basis of First ********* rights.

    Celebrity Victims of Defamation

Celebrities often become victims of libel when the media publishes outlandish false statements about them, generally in an effort to sell more magazines or financially benefit in some other way. Although some multi-million dollar awards have been made to celebrities who have been victims of libel by the media, many of these awards have been reversed on appeal or the cases have settled out of court, according to a report by the Media Law Resource Center.
uuhhhmmm....yes they did agree to OST...to satisfy the demand to get the fight done...meaning he IS willing to prove his innocence, as long as it is of no advantage to Floyd....

i guess the judge that could've thrown should've googled out the definition of slander and defamation first before making a ruling to continue huh...he could of thrown out this case since, as you put it, because it will be difficult for Pac to win this case...if he couldn't win this case and there was no merit for it...IT WOULD HAVE BEEN THROWN OUT....try again internet lawyer...worse case scenario is this gets settle out of court...

If Manny is as clean as they say he is, THE TESTING IS NOTHING. I get your point so don't think I'm some idiot, its too early in the morning for all that.
so the fact that he's agreed to the testing???? what now???? even in the muthaf@cking middle of the 6th round....so if this is ALL about testing, why isn't there a fight scheduled !!!!!

And to add to your thread Burner, Manny has a HISTORY of putting his own weight penalties on guys that have NEVER missed weight. And its hilarious because the commission already fines fighters for that, but Manny goes above and beyond the commission (sound familiar) and puts his OWN weight penalties on fighters.

Here are two examples of guys that have NEVER missed weight and yet Manny put his own weight penalties on them. Erik Morales and Miguel Cotto. Why? They've never missed weight so why put your own penalties on them? Why not let the commission do their job? Sound familiar? I would love for someone to answer how it is that Manny can go above the commission when it suits him but when after fighter tries to do it, "they have no precedence to do it". That's very hypocritical.
all Manny is asking is that they come in at the weight negotiated...so you're saying...is that Manny is following the same rules as the boxing commission...the difference is that he just puts a stricter punishment ....more money from fighters who have a lot of money and the commission's penalty is probably chump change to them compared to what they would earn if they win with a weight advantage....

now, does the commission provide their own boxing standards for testing for PED's? yes, they do....but Floyd wants a DIFFERENT test done....Manny has never been suspected of taking PED's, just like your point that Cotto and Morales never missed weight....but Manny is making them take a test or go through a program that the commission hasn't already developed...just a stricter fine.....Manny says he will do whatever the commission has decided is the standard testing... based on your theory, shouldn't Floyd ask for a stricter penalty...not come up with a new test ???

Fanny didn't agree to the testing...he ran away and fought Clottey....remember???????????

If Pac agreed the fight would have happened already and you'd be without a hero...

Marquez even hinted Mayweather did it on purpose to gain an advantage in later interviews.

It's not beyond Floyd, he loves playing mind games and having advantages over opponents to minimise risk. For the biggest fight of his life, I wouldn't put anything past him. And neither did Pac's camp. This was a fair demand, and not new. Leonard did the same to Duran for their third fight, but that was a joke because it was for a 168 title, but duran would be penalised $1 million for every ounce over 160.
Pac seeks to have more advantages than Mayweather.

Manny is much harder to negotiate with...he has to have EVERYTHING his way.

I am not against the testing if that's what it takes to make the fight, but there has to be a compromise or this will never get done. This fight will never happen anyway. I don't beleive Floyd is intersted in fighting competitively anymore anyway. It's just about the money which is why he takes tune-ups and disappears for a year at a time.

Floyd knows that the Pacquiao camp would never agree to an extreme demand. This was all a pre-determined smear campaign by the Floyd camp which will rob the boxing fans of this fight, and try and place blame on Pacquiao. If Floyd really wanted this fight, it would get done. He won't take any fight this risky and risk his "0" this close to calling it quits.

I don't believe a loss in this fight would affect Manny as much as Floyd, because his "0" is all he has going for him.
I can tell you don't know ***** anout boxing just by looking at the guy in your siggy.

                      FAILURE..

Shane Mosley was juicing and never tested positive.

                      Same with Tommy Morrison.
